@bearPros I don't think that it was a matter of him not being capable of it, I think he loved quite a few people in his life, his mother, his father, his infant brother before he died at the hands of his mother, Clark, Lana, his half sister. But his mother was so wrapped up in herself over Lionel she didn't show it much that we saw, Lionel blamed Lex for Julianne, Clark was raised to hate the Luthors, Lana just settled for him and was ready to leave him for Clark on the wedding day.
I think that the reason why Lex tricked Lana is that he never believed anyone could truly love him since his own father never did :( It's not a good excuse but it makes sense.

This is so heartbreaking. So heartbreaking. Started to get tears around the 0:50 mark. All Lex needed was someone to trust him, to love him, and to believe in him. If things went differently ... if Clark trusted him, if his father loved him ... its sooo sad. My god, this is just an epic tribute. Its soooo amazingly heartbreaking.

possible. I don't think any video could ever sum up Lex the way this one does. I'm not lying when I say that this is the greatest video I've ever seen. I'm seriously not just saying that. I've never had this stunned feeling. I've cried before(quite often lol) but I'm shaking like a leaf. It's very powefful! I'm so moved...I just don't know what else to say. Please just realize how amazing this video is.

I can't even express it myself. You made a video that completely describes what I love about my favorite character ever. You communicated exactly who Lex is, all his pain, & his desire for love that he could never get! There aren't enough words in the English(or any other) language to verbalize the amazingness & brilliance of this video. It broke my heart in every way imaginable. I'm STILL crying. it summed everything up perfectly! Lex is not perfect. He's complex & flawed & human, but he always tries. He always loves. That's who he is. He's NOT the villain. He's a loving, wounded man who can never seem to win no matter what he does. You showed that perfectly!! Katey, I love you, so I really don't want to hurt you, but that description makes me see red! I can't believe you could be so negative about THIS video. Do you even understand the impact it has on me?

Ugh!!! That line never fails to piss me off. I've never seen a character love more than Lex does. He wouldn't have to resort to lying if anyone would actually love him for him!!! "What I want mire tha anything is to live happily ever after" :'( Aaaww his wondering why he keeps on going at all...Gah!!! an ounce of affection from his gather, but Lionel just handed it to Clark so easily...the ONE thing Lex wanted...NEEDED more than anything. After years of psychological torture he just snapped. OMG...the Lilian scene...Aaaww "What's to love?" OMG!! I can't even express the pain I feel watching that scene...There's SO much to love, but no one ever saw it & Lex eventually believed there was nothing worth loving in him. followed the Memoria scene with his telling Chloe he just wants his father to love him & the "It doesn't matter dad, I'm never gonna get it" You communicated such a big truth of who Lex is as a character. He just wants love, especially from his father & most of his problems stem from Lionel being a fucking bastard. I love Lionel, but I also hate him with a fiery passion for hurting my baby like this. Okay I'm STILL sobbing & I can't really make articulate sentences, but I'm really going to try. First off, the title is PERFECT!! Lex is not the villain. He's just not. His heart is so big & he loves so much. Gah. Okay so starting off with the quote "Everybody hates me" killed me!! But I couldn't imagine a better quote to start off a Lex vid with. Poor baby. GAH!!! I AM NEAR TEARS!!! This is GORGEOUS! I think you chose beautiful and perfect clips and quotes illustrating his relationship to Lionel and Clark and a little to Lana and his mother, which I think are the key relationships to understanding Lex...SO perfect. Btw, that scene between Lex and Lillian is a deleted scene right? I really need to watch all of those, lol :)

That made me tear up a bit. This was gorgeous and perfect and you REALLY do doubt yourself WAY too much. ;) You are amazing and this was WONDERFUL. You picked all the perfect voiceovers and clips, the song choice... the coloring was beautiful. It really was perfect. ;)

Ok now onto the critique...Loved the title...it totally goes with the video....You know youre editing and coloring are always top notch...and it was damn good for your first bio...i have one suggestion though..on your next one..maybe less dialouge to make the climax of the video more dramatic..and then end with dialouge...BUT your video was awesome
