  • Wow. That's all I can say.

  • Why was this not on the album man!? Criminal, I tells ya!

  • Comment removed

  • all this genre talking shit is exactly what burial doesnt want... just enjoy his music. who seriously cares wtf it is?

  • Comment removed

  • Not trying to start anything, and genre really doesn't matter, but this is Garage.

  • OMG I LOVE THIS TYPE OF DUBSTEP , taiko riddim! good song like this

  • @j0rdyb0y62 Go listen to your shitstep like Skrillex, leave Burial alone!

  • @SelfrotDnBFreak nah mate this is true and unique form of dubtep, if you would like me to prove it, then ask me to inbox you

ps i dont listen to skrillex

  • @SelfrotDnBFreak yah, chill - he said only that he like it. Does it matter what name it is? I don't think so either.

  • oh wowwwwww these drum's

  • Burial is my hero and always will be.

  • The vox at 0:40 and after are the ones from Shell of Light, are they not?

  • It's not the drums you should be paying attention to.........it's the other 99% you should be listening for.

  • @r33Skyline09 That's a pretentious thing to say.

  • @siqongmason I call subjective.

  • @r33Skyline09 Haha, whatever, One Percenter.

  • Burial <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  • 3 am soundz.

  • @Thewickedjunglist

    This GUY. Realname William Bevan

  • @timmel55 I highly doubt the fact that William Bevan is his real name. It's just another, though very clever, alias. Try going to williambevan.co.uk

  • @RobK496

he signs his posts on myspace with "Will". But yeah it's not really clear.

  • @RobK496 HAHA WOW

  • @RobK496 'Four Tet', real name Kieran Hebden went to Elliott School in London, where a student called William Bevan went to aswell. There is a high possibility that William Bevan is Burial's real name.

  • @AddictiveOfficial Yeah, I know. But just visit the website. 's a riot.

  • @RobK496 yeah I know about this funeral thingy, read about it on DSF a long time ago

  • Immense samplework. This guy (Group?) is unreal

  • bad tune!

  • Comment removed

  • when the bass kicks in u know this tune is something.

  • Burial always provokes a great deal of debate - which must be a good thing.

  • why is this so short :( i could of listened to that for another 10 minutes

  • @dougiedeathx Because it's ripped rom a mix.

  • I think Burial is the only artist that is able to get away with recycling his tunes due to his unique sound, and my god does he pull it off

  • cant believe this hasnt been released

  • This made me cry

  • for some reason that first 10 seconds reminds me a lot of Benga

  • @gumdrops27 Yeah! But Benga isn't as 2-steppy as Burial is.

  • @bagofrandom

I just mean before the beat loop even starts. Just that little bit at the beginning just reminds me of him for some reason.

  • New album please!!!

  • amusing how no matter how good I get at production I still feel like I can't even touch something that wasn't "good enough" to release...

  • So nice, I love this reverb snare!

  • loops till infinity i dont care. really the closest thing ive heard to a perfect rythm

  • sick sick sick

  • same vocal sample at 0:50 that's in Shell of Light near the end...

  • @scgcdmluvr

burial often uses the same samples

its quite common in uk electro music, dunno why, sucks imo to hear people recycling even whole parts of a track in the next one sometimes

  • @Texhnishan agreed... although i forgive burial as he made the sample sound different both times-each time it added a different deminsion to the song.

    regardless

    burial is amazing

    sampeling can be done poorly

    end of story

  • @Texhnishan Yeah but at the same time Burials tunes have a unique theme and original sound that is represented by the use of certain sounding samples and soundscapes. The amen break gets sampled in all sorts of music, doesn't mean it's generic because it is used by more than just one artist. if the artist makes the music, it's because it's music they want to hear, the audience comes second. if it's the other way round, the music i find loses some credibility.

  • @Texhnishan their game is not beats, its mixing sets and pirate radio... so anything thatll grasp the listener's attention will work... recycling same sonorities is common within such a musical environment, simply because they can afford it... they dont need to sound commercial... they just have a vibe and deep grooves... and the people love that... each of their artist is a world of his/her own... great stuff really. music shouldnt be formulaic, or ethic, or wtv.. burial is skilled.

  • @scgcdmluvr exactly! well spotted! I knew I had heard that sample before. Thanks.

  • Yep best loop eva!!! roll dat ish burial!

  • Seriously, this is some intense, dark yet colourful, deep and dangerous shit.

  • it just snaped me back to reality

  • @rakicvukasin But what IS reality?

  • deep, dark, inspiring ..

  • very nice

  • keep0n doesn't seem positive of the exact name of this song and by which artist--can anyone deny or confirm? I really like this track.

  • WOW

  • holy shit god fuck tit wank bastard cunt nigger this is a good tune

  • @MrDrunknbass i fell wobbly.

  • @ANGELO13111 i hope you mean good wobbly

  • @MrDrunknbass of course

  • this seems a bit to fast paced for a burial song, you sure someone hasn't done this and used his samples

  • 0:22 woooooooooooooo!!!!!

  • the drums are just a single loop - but it's got be the greatest loop i've ever heard!

  • many bitches below me...why? chill ,who givs a shit about some twat on youtube and ther thorts. and how dose it relate to this wonderfull music? people! please!

  • this song has an excellent beat, really rolling. sick

  • I just bought the vynil LP and am kinda disappointed this track aint on it.. its a ridiculously big album, but this is probably my fave burial track

  • the lp still is good tho' burail along with other made dubstep what is today other than benga, caspa, rusko and skream but then i prefer more than one style

  • @darklifeteen Yeah I agree, Burial is an old hat. Although Skream had an undeniable impact. Early Skream has the Dub sound DOWN :D. Alorra people bash him and say he's sold out an shit.. but I reckon he's one of the most consistent producers around (alongside Burial of course)

  • so I own burial self title on CD... but also bought the 2xLP vinyl edition.. I believe this track wasn't official released on the CD print, is this true?

  • that is true, its not on the cd. its still unreleased, and listening to it now, it has the vocals from another tune on 'burial' strange. good tune though.

  • There are samples from shell of light on untrue

  • @hanspeterpitsch and his remix of wayfaring stranger

  • @JoeyMurph111 It's cos its from a mix by Kode9.. what a mix aswell.

  • loools... dope tune!!

  • thats dem told i was thinkin da same thing b4 i read your coment ItzA

    good tune!! (Y)

  • People bitch and have no songs of their own up. He was giving people advice who asked questions, you are pointlessly bickering. How bout we all shut the fuck up and listen to the music. Bitch and whine in private messages.

  • deez beets mon, dem sum sik reedums

  • what the hell are you trying to be, lame?

  • does it really fucking matter? it's the internet

  • boh

  • yank

  • amazing tune.

  • The stig of dub

  • hold on. i want this on vinyl

  • ive tried my hardest to make my drums sound like that in sound forge acid pro fruity loops cubase

to no avail but im quite glad i cant

because then i would be copying i dont want to be

    i love burial

  • yeah man, i tried it too but it's too hard.

    Burial knows his shit

  • yepp

but i read somewhere that burial tried to copy EL-Bs sound

but NO one can do that haha

  • don't know EL-B

    should i be ashamed?

  • nah dude

dont be ashamed just check him out serious

    sooo good

got msn i'll send you some stuff

  • @allyshank if you listen to el b kushti kutz 5 hes merking!

  • @TheMagicRealist Yes mate, El-b is big in the game x

  • his drums are dry samples, pitched up, and someimtes cut into fine layers. then there is a slight reverb/echo on other parts e.g the wood block..... if you find a decent sample pack you are half way there. then you have got to master the pitch shifting of vocals and ambients so they become ulmost unrecogniseable. burial has it down to a tee. keep it up : )

  • yeah man ive looked into it so muchh

i dunno why i cant do it ive done it with others

and im not in to copying his vocal and amibent sample work just wanted to get them drums

    cheers anyway man

  • make a clean beat. then chop it up in a decent music program. then use this vst with it. "Glitch v1.3.04 VST"..... this will get closer to the sound you're looking for. but you will have to spend a bit more time with the reverbs etc..... also try downloading off sample sites for sounds of rain and vinyl hissing, burial has a lot of this layered gently in the background. do you ever use ableton?

  • only do this if you want boring generic beats

  • people like you are pointless.... if you have an opinion yes share it, but maybe give an alternative so people can take these ideas and use them for how they feel fit?....... anyone can sit there and criticise. its not hard is it mate. ***awaiting next pointless reply***

  • you literally don't know anything about production if you're running your beats through plugins all day, especially deep blue. stop pretending to be "the producer guy" any fucking retard can make hot beats these days

  • yes im "the producer guy"?.. when did i state that?? stupid cunt.... im sorry you dont like my opinions, and yours are welcome too. thanks for sharing your thoughtful and useful views. my production learning curve will be that much better off thanks to you now... p.s what does it make you for criticising me? "the hot beats guy" ;-)

  • it makes you the guy who can't get enough posting on youtube based on all of your lengthy and wordy commentary which literally has no effect on anyone. you should probably consider drinking anti-freeze

  • and no i dont use that plug in all the time, it was just a simple recommendation for others. yes you could get arsey and use melodyne, logic, buzz, pro tools etc, but i'll leave that to you too tell people about "mr hot beats!" x

  • what's it like to be so ignorant, educate me please

  • read a book. your boring me

  • both of you shut the fuck up, seroiusly

  • lewis! shut the fuck up! u dont know what your on about obviously

  • Wow, this is spectacular. I want it.

  • Burial is absolutely genius! He is showing only the best tunes :)

  • whoa

  • Why can't this get released!! It's so sick.

  • Whoa! There's that sample right at the start of 'Shell Of Light'... Why none of these tunes are seeing the light of day is an utter mystery... but then, I suppose that's the point. Having said that, a killing could be made... and maybe more importantly, we'd all be able to get our hands on this incredible tracks!! What I wouldn't give...

  • There are so many sick Burial tracks that have never been released (and probably never will). It's such a shame.... I wouldn't hesitate to pick up this track if I knew where to find it.

  • hot summer night

  • This is dope

  • fuck this is so sick. x

  • good tune

  • anyone know if this has been released yet? can't seem to find it anywhere

  • never got released, but alot of the samples used in were featured on tracks on untrue. its all about the drums on this one - some serious rhythmic weight

  • big up for the upload x
