the runway is more than able to handle a 757, its a pretty standard runway in fact.
if it was short, they would never be allowed to land...
its totally safe and with in operational peramiters for these type of aircraft.

You cannot hold off the flare at Skiathos as the runway is short(ish) so the pilot has to *put the aircraft down*. If he didn't then you would have an early bath or a *go around*.
