@LokiTime both HoN and Dota have developers from Dota in their teams, they made LoL and HoN because Dota is run off an outdated system engine which is why they did it, and btw LoL is a lot different than dota once you get into it, HoN is a carbon copy
Game is boring, just like clip. Imo LoL is a game for kids, for ppl who have no cash to play Hon (that's also why in LoL you can see poor graphic). Also i can't find where are LoL tournaments like in Hon or Dota

And next thing about - are you really so interested in both budgets that you've discover money flow of both ones? i don't think so. If you really wanna say something like that, proof it, send a print of budgets and recalculate average money spend with they money they gain.

Btw, you played in Beta, judging a game at the beta stage makes you *erhm* bad. I play both LoL and HoN but I like HoN more, even though I play LoL more because most of my friends are on there.
I played HoN and I really liked it. But when it went p2p (Pay to play), I tried out LoL and i like that more even tho HoN graphics is nicer and stuff. LoL has got more feeling into it.
und jetzt noch mal für alle die meinen das es keine cheats für das game geben würde , aktuell gibt es mehrere hacks die aber mit stealern verseucht sind und es gibt nen multihack der im monat kostet und IMMER aufm neusten stand gebracht wird in diesem hack ist crithack,goldhack,maphack uvm enthalten
schon mal nen lvl 1 gesehen der mit klinge der unendlichkeit schattenklingen etc vor euch steht und 40.000 + gold hat :D gibt es sogar nen screen von :) und jetzt haltet die fresse danke =D
Achja,eins noch: Das Game hat kein ,,Anti-Cheat-System'' (Hackshield für euch wnbs) ,weil man gar nix hacken KANN. Wie gesagt,kannst ja gerne mal ein Video von nem LoL-Hack machen. I love HoN, this game looks real childish, one of the good reason i prefer HoN over Dota is because it has alot better graphics, so why go down graphics wize when you can go up? i belive when both games come out LOL is gonne be put on the 599 clearance rack
well the founder of DotA is also a founder of LoL...and the HoN has the same skill w/ the hero of DotA yes it has better graphics but u can play both y choose1.....
I frequently play HoN (already preorder) and have just recieved a key to beta test LoL too, this game is pretty fun, something on its own, but i preefer HoN.
If you want something like Dota, just play dota. Why all the comparisons? It's like people comparing AoE to Command & Conquer to see which is more like Starcraft. They are different games played for different reasons. HoN being more like Dota isn't neccessarily a good thing, or you would still be playing Dota.
@slovek because this game was made because of the limitations of the wc3 engine. This is a DotA rip off and the makers admit it.
But this is better nonetheless.
HoN is more like DotA, and yes that is a good thing. It's not the Wc3 engine that made DotA good. It was the idea, og 5vs5, using teamwork to get down towers and get the nexus. HoN was made because the Wc3 engine was to old and shitty to work with. So you CAN compare HoN and LoL, because those have both tried to take DotA to the next lvl

HoN = Heroes of Newerth (a DOTA rip with license, better graphics, NO Warcraft 3 needed to play)
And League of Legends is from the creators of DOTA (Ironforge) who decided to make a game portable, No War3 needed, nice graphics, new heroes, new things, but basically the same style of game and strategy.

I Prefer Heroes of Newerth over League of Legends.
Reasons:
- HoN is more like DotA .
- League of Legends has cartoon-like graphics
-HoN is playable on Mac (wich is pretty much a must since you've always been able to play DotA as a mac user)
-HoN is tiered towards competttive and skilled players while Leagues of Legends is more newb friendly.
As a former hardcore DotA player HoN just seems like a far better game.

If you want something like Dota, just play dota. Why all the comparisons? It's like people comparing AoE to Command & Conquer to see which is more like Starcraft. They are different games played for different reasons. HoN being more like Dota isn't neccessarily a good thing, or you would still be playing Dota.

But this is better nonetheless.
HoN is more like DotA, and yes that is a good thing. It's not the Wc3 engine that made DotA good. It was the idea, og 5vs5, using teamwork to get down towers and get the nexus. HoN was made because the Wc3 engine was to old and shitty to work with. So you CAN compare HoN and LoL, because those have both tried to take DotA to the next lvl

Just because they increased the graphics doesn't make it less "like" Dota. HoN is DotA with better graphics and a smoother engine.
LoL is a NEW GAME, the only thing it uses from DotA is the basic concept. And if you think it is about champion kills then you have never gotten over lvl 20 in LoL. It is ALL about pushing!

League of legends will keep your masturbation appetite down until you can do it freely. The extra boobage in LoL will also get you in the mood, whether you admit it or not, those are some fine breasts on the champions.

HoN = Heroes of Newerth (a DOTA rip with license, better graphics, NO Warcraft 3 needed to play)
And League of Legends is from the creators of DOTA (Ironforge) who decided to make a game portable, No War3 needed, nice graphics, new heroes, new things, but basically the same style of game and strategy.
