To him Checks and Balances are an obstacle toward declaring war on civilians.

He says there has been no declaration of war since 1945 yet the Bush administration used war powers through government power to cause a war on sex in America that today is still bankrupting the nation. he's smart, that's for sure. even if you think he's evil, you don't get to be that evil by being stupid. so I think we can settle here that he's smart. that said, his argument doesn't take into consideration of politics in realities. he's kinda like the kind that espouses that if the laws say so, you get to do it if it tells you to do it or agree to do it.
law is just a representation of politics. and politics is inherently fluid and amoral. it's silly to attach moral to law.
