  • AMAZING!! go caroline!!

  • carrie totally inspired me to start playing bodhran =] even tho i doubt i'll reach her standard

  • Yeah, the whistle sounds a little sharp, but better sharp than flat! You can tell they know something is wrong by the way they've all got their heads down on stage and the straight faces, especially seeing as how they're such an energetic band normally. I know it was the same for us when my band knew something was up! But credit to them, they went through it and it still sounded great!

  • and you noticed at the end 3:00 that Andrea is wave her "whistle" that there was something wrong in it and i think that someone gave her a new "whistle" at the very end :) but great performance still

  • ERES TU...

  • as someone said thats the traditional way of playng-- more power to ya girls!!! was lovely but bring the bordhran up a little

  • yeah.. i think andrea should get a tuneable whistle like she used on UNPLUGGED's album..

  • err...she didnt use a tuneable on the unplugged...it was a Waltons Little Black

  • The bodhran seems really quiet, why didn't Caroline come out to the front for this song?

  • >>that thing is killer sharp in the upper octave.<<<

What you're hearing is how the sound system colours the whistle's pitch. The timbre is also different through a mic.

  • ... And it should be mentioned: Whistles and microphones don't go well together simply by pitch to mic transition. Remember here ... they aren't in a recording studio with filters and make-over cuts to sweeten the sound ... it's raw 'penny-whistle' through a mic. And I love it captured this way (personally speaking, of course)and that's how live music should be.

  • I don't hear anything wrong with the whistle (perhaps you should try listening to raw traditianl Irish folk as played in the Irish pubs and clubs?) This is how it should sound; raw, traditional and 'as-is'. I love the Corrs; a real family of musicians that I truly hope will stay together. Under the lure of offers of big cash to go solo from recording companies it's tempting ... and sometimes spoils something good. Long may they continue.

  • If anything breaks up this group it will probably be the demands of their own families. Only Andrea is still single. I hope to see her in some movies in the future.

  • I'll be happy to help out if Andrea need a husband! Even though she's waaaay older than me! ;)

  • She is captivating, all right. Check out the romantic comedy she co-starred in "The Boys (& Girl) from County Clare". It's a must-see for Corrs fans & really anybody with a taste for Irish music.

  • Man, Andrea needs to drop the feadog and get a tuneable whistle -- that thing is killer sharp in the upper octave.

  • That's the way we love The Corrs !!
