thank you for agreeing with me. i am not opposed to the public option at all i am just slightly skeptical about it. i also think it is important that we do not raise our national debt just to pass it now. i know there a lot of people in the us out of insurance right now me being one of them but i just don't think it is wise to increase the national deficit just for health care. the deficit is at 12 or 13 trillion that is too much we need to cut back until that is settled.

You do realize that is very similar to the health care plan being debated now, right? Basically, there will be an OPTIONAL government offered insurance for those who can't afford private insurance. It will also compete against private insurance, thus lowering the premiums everyone has to pay. You still have to PAY for health insurance. It's not hand out. I think most of the opponents are concerned about where the continual funding will come from. The bottom line is that we don't have the money to hand everyone private insurance style health care. We are continuing to dig ourselves into the most massive deficit the world has ever seen, and it appears as if Obama and the left have no intentions of slowing the spending. Reform would be fixing the broken system that is in place, but this isn't reform that is being tossed around, It's more than that.

thank you for agreeing with me. i am not opposed to the public option at all i am just slightly skeptical about it. i also think it is important that we do not raise our national debt just to pass it now. i know there a lot of people in the us out of insurance right now me being one of them but i just don't think it is wise to increase the national deficit just for health care. the deficit is at 12 or 13 trillion that is too much we need to cut back until that is settled.

I never support any sort of race baiting because I think the entire discussion of race and diversity is bullshit. politicians are well established in dividing people by their societal groups and speaking to them as they are a single minded people. You do realize that is very similar to the health care plan being debated now, right? Basically, there will be an OPTIONAL government offered insurance for those who can't afford private insurance. It will also compete against private insurance, thus lowering the premiums everyone has to pay. You still have to PAY for health insurance. It's not hand out. I don't see why you're complaining about something that won't affect you in any way.

It is still hard to determine what the opponents to health care reform are concerned about. Or, maybe they believe this is their second chance. Let us hope the politicians have the fortitude to introduce the "public option".

I think most of the opponents are concerned about where the continual funding will come from. The bottom line is that we don't have the money to hand everyone private insurance style health care. We are continuing to dig ourselves into the most massive deficit the world has ever seen, and it appears as if Obama and the left have no intentions of slowing the spending. Reform would be fixing the broken system that is in place, but this isn't reform that is being tossed around, It's more than that.

Ammendments to the constitution happen all the time. Where have you been? You know I teach history, and I know these things. But you could know them too, with just a simple google search.
