what an idiot (the guy in the red).. see, I have a 2003 (e53) X5 4.6is model, (3120 ever made) and people like him tell me to get the new X5s. to be honest older BMWs are much more fun to dive the then new electronic ones.. im never going to give up the X5. and i also have a 2002 M5 too. love both to death!

LOL 180k miles that nothing. I've had two 3 series with 280k, have owned five of those, two 5 Series and now a 7.

My dad has an M5E60, I have an M5E39. I have driven both cars and the E60 has nothing on the E39, I am not joking here. Those who have driven both cars and who like to DRIVE will both understand my post and be in agreement, of that I am certain. If, if I had the money, I would (in all honesty here) buy a M5E34 (the 3.6 version) because that is THE greatest M5 of all time, its just pure, pure perfection.

The M5E60 is an abomination, its not a drivers car. To much tech and no manual gear box.

I haven't driven the e60, but I own the e39. It is also a "baby" with only 99k. The M6 driver appears to never be satisfied as he is always upgrading to the latest and "greatest." The e39 driver seems to find one car he likes and never try anything else. The e60 driver has it the best. I hope to work there too if the economy ever comes about. I am hoping that the next gen M5 is more like an e39 sequel rather than an e60.

Absolutely love this car (E39) just got one and i fall in love with it everyday, the sound, the feel...this is my hot rod forever;-) I am not a fan of the new body styles at all, the E39 will always to me be a timeless classic.

put side by side with the e60, the e39 does have something special about it.

imho it looks somewhat better, the design feels timeless, it still looks great after so many years.

red coat does come off as jerk, meet alot of you guys at concourse events. E39 isnt a model T. Be happy to humble you in my AMG,996 C4, or run you down in my X5 4.6i. add in the M5 I am picking up this week, keep looking over your shoulder.
