But I am currently an Assistant Scoutmaster and we are not teaching this. This is an absurd video. Like many people have said before, this video, every last second of it is false. As an Eagle Scout, Guns are shot under careful adult supervision and must be trained before they shoot. they even do the same prosedures for BB guns. the same goes for all adults, reguardless of previous training. but i do believe in Free Speech and, even though this is, in my opinion, a big waste of time, I will listen to what this video has to offer...

As an Eagle Scout and Adult leader, I can assure you that the claims made in this video are completely false. Like some of the scouts have stated below, the boys are not allowed to hunt, fire riffles outside of a supervised firing range, engage in any sort of tactical training or even carry a fixed blade knife for that matter. This video is so inaccurate that it almost borders on laughable, but is comfortably in the "just plain sad" camp.

I'm a boy scout and this is the stupidest thing i have ever seen. We are not even allowed to go hunting. The closest thing we get to this crap is First Aid, which is basic stuff. In Boy Scouts, we are not allowed to march in step, unless it is for a parade.

Also, most nations around the world have all their citizens take military training. I want to see these guys do something good, instead of spread stupid rumors for their own juvenile amusement.

Federal law (10 U.S.C., 505), the minimum age for enlistment in the Military is 17 (with parental consent) and 18 (without parental consent).

Secondly, what this video does not explain is that the article is referring to the Explorers program which is a coeducational affiliate of the Boy Scouts of America. The program prepare youths for career in law enforcement. It has nothing to do with Pres. Obama or using children to fight wars. If you don't like it, then take it up with the parents

what is being referred to is the Explorer Scouts. They are a subdivision of the BSA and do indeed work with the Dept. of Homeland Security. However it is not some plan to set up some sort of military dictatorship. It is a basic training organization for kids who are interested in becoming a cop or joining the military. It is real though. Just google Explorer Scouts.

Lastly, in case you have no clue, civilians are adults, not children. Any time there is a report of civilian casualties, reporters will state the number of civilians and the number of children separately. Children is never categorized as civilians.
