Abortion IS In Health Care

The Democrats presumably want this bill to pass. They know very well that by including a section that means 'all elective abortions will be federally funded' (*all* elective abortions), the bill will not pass. There is no doubt about that. So here's my question: why? Why are the Dems motivated to include this when they know full well that it would eliminate any change of passage of the bill? Sorry - it doesn't make sense. I'm pro-life, but sorry - someone just hasn't thought this through
