  • never use a file card on your files this will dull them in no time, the bristles on them are to hard. a brass grill cleaning brush is much better. chalk is not necessary

  • If I draw file over the lettering is it pretty easy to remove it? I have a newer hawken rifle with an octagon barrel and I want to remove all the lettering from the barrel. Any tips on the best way to do this? Thanks!

  • Interesting video thanks. I have an octagonal barrel on my Model 62 (short only) (yes stamped Mod 62 on an octagonal). It badly needs refinishing and this has helped a lot. Cheers from over the pond.

  • Be careful to tighten a soft barrel like that w o using well fitting jaws in the barrel vice! It can be distorted.
