  • Its not about marriage. Its about yet another greedy minority group grabbing power because pandering politicians want votes. Just watch, soon gay marriage will be legal everywhere and then gays, lesbians and trannies will want something else. They will march around crying for equality until they get whatever they want and as long as idiot Americans cant grasp the larger picture they will get it.

  • How dramatic will people get with this? Marriage is about the love of two people not to spread a love to THE people that might disagree. Christians say its wrong as if they know for sure. As if God personalliy says it is. But we are out to prove that gays are not wrong and we are all sinners no matter what sexuality we are so straights can stop pointing fingers at us for sinning when in reality homosexuality is in the same boat with ignorant heterosexuality. Go homos!

  • @Poochalot Hate speech? Appalling? According to who? Wether you agree with them or not, this video is nothing of the sort.

  • @bddc201 I don't agree with you, I see this video as hate speech against homosexuals. It lies about homosexual marriage.

  • @Poochalot Well, we disagree. But thanks for being an adult about it. Would you care to explain why you see it as "hate speech"? What are the specific lies?

  • @bddc201 To say that SS marriage threatens freedoms, there have already been SS marriages and I still have all my freedom. It says in NJ that homosexuals have all the benefits and liberties of a marriage through a civil union. This isn't true I know the area of NJ, a civil union isn't the same thing as a marriage, and it also correlates to the idea of "separate but equal" How would a Christian be open for legal (I'm assuming that was supposed to be prosecution) for practicing their beliefs?

  • @bddc201 I also do not believe we (those who are in heterosexual marriages and those who identify as heterosexuals) should be voting on who marries who. To me that is a violation of Constitutional Rights. As for being an adult about this, I've encountered many idiots online on both sides of this issue. All they do is scream and insult each other. That accomplishes nothing, people need to talk to each other and see the others viewpoint if this is going to be successfully resolved.

  • @bddc201 I see this as hate speech because it only talks to a few people who all have the same viewpoint, perhaps a person who is in favor of gay rights could be consulted? It's always a good idea to hear both sides of the story. They claim that America was founded on religious freedom, which I don't believe it was; religious freedom was merely a part of it. There are also many Christians who support gay rights, by deny gay marriage their rights are being denied.

  • @Poochalot Must agree with you on the founding of the U.S. The U.S. was founded on SEPARATION of religion and state. Despite many claims, the U.S. founding fathers were mostly atheists who found christianity to be an absurd fraud and unworthy of respect. As for same-sex marriage, is there any evidence that marriage was ever intended to be between like genders? Forgive me if I come off wrong here, but it just doesn't seem right for men to marry men. Especially when one considers the health risks.

  • @bddc201 As far as health risks go, I'm assuming you're referring to anal sex and the possibilities of AIDS. That like any STD depends on whether or not a person is sexually irresponsible; and I've talked to a few gay men who don't like the idea of anal sex, where some heterosexual women do like it. As for evidence that marriage was meant to be between members of the same gender, well nature decided that they're attracted to each other so why shouldn't they marry for love like heterosexuals do

  • @Poochalot Anal sex has health risks even if both partners are manogamous and healthy. Homosexuality is also biologically unsustainable, i.e.; men cannot give birth. On the other hand, it is doubtful that society will collapse if like genders are granted full rights of traditional marriage. I suppose what puzzles me is why homosexuals WANT to get married, what's the driving necessity to get the government involved? They're expecting something big or they wouldn't be pursuing it so agressively.

  • @bddc201 It's really about getting equal rights, homosexuals are a repressed minority. Why they would want to get married, why does anyone want to get married? I fell in love with my husband and I wanted to take his name. I would imagine it's similar for gay couples who want to get married. No man (gay or not) can give birth to a child, gay couples can either adopt or use the alternative methods towards pregnancy that some heterosexual couples use. The human race isn't going to go extinct.

  • @Poochalot Hard for me to accept the "repressed minority" statement. My experience in the workplace has been quite different. If anything, homosexuals in the workplace are a protected class with more rights. I've seen homosexuals promoted over more qualified individuals even though they were incompetent, because the employer was afraid of being sued. And that merely scratches the surface. BTW, I'm unaware of any "civil right" to engage in sodomy.

  • @bddc201 What you consider sodomy is someone elses private life, I don't discuss my private life with anyone, I doubt they do. I'm not talking about the workplace, I'm talking about overall in society. The wrong people have been promoted over others for the reasons you mentioned, but that happens with all minorities. If gays can be given the same rights as heterosexuals than it could reduce the amount of hate crimes committed against them. Can you think of a good reason to deny gay marriage?

  • @Poochalot Interesting question, but the wrong one. Should years of tradition and law be forever altered to endorse sodomy? Should the state grant special rights to minorities based on popular vote? Is sodomy a civil right? Does everyone truly have a right to marry? Is sodomy enough of a health risk to merit criminalization? Is homosexuality truly normal and legitimately worthy of equality with heterosexuality? There are doubts.

  • @bddc201 Years of tradition, in reference to marriage it has changed and will continue to do so whether or not gays can marry. Everything changes, women are no longer forced into a marriage because society wants her home having babies.

  • @bddc201 "Is sodomy a civil right?" Not everyone considers same-sex love/attraction as sodomy. We're talking about marriage which is very different from your definition of sodomy.

  • @bddc201 "Is homosexuality truly normal and legitimately worthy of equality with heterosexuality?" Homosexual behavior has been observed in several different species of animals, and no one can choose their sexual orientation; I know I certainly didn't. So being that it's a natural feeling I see no reason to not give it the same respect and recognition that heterosexual marriage has.

  • @bddc201 "Should the state grant special rights to minorities based on popular vote?" This isn't asking for special rights and it has nothing to do with the popular vote. Gays are asking for equal rights, not special rights; and this is something you don't vote on because it's a civil rights matter. I know people have voted on it, but I do not believe that you and I should be voting on who is allowed to marry who when it doesn't affect our lives.

  • @bddc201 "Does everyone truly have a right to marry?" The way I see it, the Declaration of Independence states that we all have the right to pursue happiness, which to me says that we all have the right to marry the person we love, as that is a pursuit of happiness.

  • @Poochalot My point is this: Brother and sister cannot marry. In many places, first cousins cannot marry. People can't marry animals. The "right" to marry is not absolute. Also, it's unreasonable to imagine that married people won't have sex. Homosexual sex is sodomy. Government endorsement of sodomy could potentially open up a pandora's box of unintended consequences.

  • @bddc201 Not everyone believes that homosexual sex is sodomy. Of course married people have sex, and to them it's sex/love. What sort of unintended consequences do you think could happen? Their have already been gay marriages and nothing bad happened, just more people who are now happy.

  • @Poochalot It seems there actually IS a right to engage in sodomy. There was a supreme court case (Miller vs. Texas, I think) that does indeed affirm the right of consenting adults to have any style of sex (in private) of their choosing so long as there is no long term harm done.

  • @bddc201 - It's not the government's business what people get up to in their bedrooms.

  • @bddc201 The way I see it, homosexual marriage is already here, George married Brad and Ellen married Portia. These people aren't going to give up because they're so close now to what they want. I believe it would be better for society to be prepared and accept this, rather than to be afraid and try to prevent what they know is coming. I've heard several excuses to deny it, but nothing holds any merit. I believe they deserve equal rights and that other people should mind their own business.

  • 1. What did the guy actually do to get sued? That's what I'd like to know.

    2. So maybe they shouldn't be in your face about how you're a sinner. I'd be offended too in that situation.

    3. So she doesn't want to do her job? Wouldn't it be easier to get someone else to do it? Or does she have to stop the deed from ever being done? You shouldn't start a problem, then claim they started it.

  • Gay activits want to impose their lifestyle on the rest of society through lies and deception

Non Gay ACTIVISTS want to impose their lifestyle on the rest of society through lies, deception and misinformation.

  • hey drgincali unfortunately for you, you have chosen name calling, which I think is unfortunate. It is almost like someone not getting there way. If you can show me in the Bible where God created homosexuality I can agree with you, but there really isn't. Yes God loves us all, but because we don't agree with the attack on marriage doesn't reflect that love. It is a choice that everyone makes, to be straight, to be gay, to molest a child, all of these are choices.

  • This video is a bit ambiguous. I almost couldn't tell if it was for or against gay marriage.

One of the problems is people still think homosexuality is a choice. That's so lame, God made homosexuals, homosexual. Perhaps to teach straight people tolerance. Learn your lessons bigots, God loves us all.

By the way there is no civil union in any state, nor is there gay marriage in any state that is truly equal to marriage. Some equal rights are there but not all, specifically when we talk nationally.

  • how dare people like you try to make yourselves out as victims. gay teenagers are three times more likely to atempt suicide than straight teenagers due to bullying, stress and shame brought on by other people. to me that sounds like a victim. and if that preist has a right to teach the bible how about he stops selective reading. what about the passages which state that to eat shrimp is a sin? or to wear two different materials at the same time is a sin. leave the bible out of it!

  • Those were case of false discrimination by people who think they are a superior class:The homo fascists like Perez Hilton.

Everybody knows it. Soon you cant hide behind false equality claims

  • Once again the oppressor wants to play the martyr and claims to be oppressed. At no point has PH said he is superior. He is only asking for EQUAL rights and tolerance for everyone. Gay marriage hurts no one. Your desire to deny gay marriage is only bigotry.

    MARRIAGE EQUALITY FOR ALL!

  • The childrens book, the insemination, and the church public pavillion have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with gay marriage. Each of those were cases of discrimination and WON the case with or without marriage. If each of those cases had been a black family in the childrens book, a black woman inseminated, or a whites only church public pavillion it would have been SUED also...and WON! Stop DISCRIMINATING!

    MARRIAGE EQUALITY FOR ALL!

  • You can't compare racial discrimination to the discrimination over sexuality, because you can't choose your race, but you can choose who you want to be with.

  • Are you Gay?

  • That is mixing two different points. Mixed race couples can also choose who they want to be with. Are you saying that if a person of one color could choose to marry someone of the same color, then mixed-race marriages are not needed? That would be the arguement here.

Sexuality, like race, is not chosen

  • I didn't say interracial marriage was wrong, I said her comparison was wrong. Sexuality unlike race is subject to different interpretations of if you choose it or if you don't choose it.

  • EXACTLY! THANK YOU!

  • Its a lie when you say they dont have a right to religiouse freedom. There are no laws that say you have to perform any gay marriage. there has always been a seperation of church and state

  • LET ME ASK ALL THOSE WHO AGREE WITH THE VIDEO ONE VERY SIMPLE QUESTION

If a particular religion said "we believe marriage is between one white man and one white woman" would you support their right to discriminate against African-Americans on the count that it's their personal beliefs?

What if a doctor said "My god tells me black people are evil (*ahem* mormon *ahem*) and therefore I do not want to help one when they are sick" - would you also call the black community intolerant?

  • Wow. They God will reward them for lying. Nice people, those fundie fucks.

  • the problem is that people belive these lies

  • FALSE FALSE FALSE! Partners with civil unions in New Jersey ARE NOT given the same rights as married couples. With marriage, comes over 100 important benefits that ALL couples (straight or GAY) deserve!

  • This Video is Shameful. Marriage isn't about sexuality, It's about Love & eternal commitment. This Video also contains gross legal misrepresentations & is deliberately deceptive. Also what about treating your neighbors as you would wish to be treated? What if you were Gay? Being Gay isn't a choice, but a gift. God is not a religion, "God is LOVE". Your "Religion" says many things unpopular that you yourselves refuse to acknowledge. It's not what you read or say, but what you do that matters.

  • I suggest viewers look into the details of the articles presented. The poster is grossly misrepresenting them and lying about what the law actually says.

  • Dude, if they were reading a book called, "Charlie the Crocodile", and he was attacked by one in the past, could he make complaints then about a book trivializing the dangers of these vicious reptiles? It's a book. Your kids will read and watch things you don't like get used to it, or accept you will never know anything about your children when they grow up, because they will hide everything about themselves from you.

  • When you make your religious views law, vote your beliefs into law you are violating the rights of every single citizen in this country. WE HAVE FREEDOM OF RELIGION. YOU CANNOT IMPOSE YOUR BELIEFS ON AN ENTIRE NATION BY MAKING IT LAW. ITS UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!!. This is a legal, political issue not a religious one. We go to our legislators to ask for equal protection NOT TO YOUR CHURCHES.

drs take oaths to heal people regardless of their faith, gender, ethnicity, its their job! How stupid r u?

  • **** ALL SUPPORTERS OF EQUALITY GO TO: domaflipflop. com and support the repeal of DOMA**** THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!... Thank you! :) PLEASE SPREAD THE MESSAGE!
