@Steamfan123 It is abit obvious as hes completely mirrored it into the books, even adapted the locations to suit illustrations, and in all honestly the railway has so much to offer, he would be a fool to lay aside such inspiration. He was a volenteer in the railways prime preservation years, the most frustrating and dramatic times on the railway.
i went to the Talylln main staion in Tywyn becuase orginally we needed somewhere to go for the bog when i saw the sighn and my said the name i went "hmmm Talylln now where have i heard that name before" then "aha this is the little old twin railway" it was like being a child again after reading all the thomas books and watching thomas i was gobsmacked. also you can see rev audry's study where he wote the books i've read.
