I use a bladder for a water store in camp. I'm thinking of tieing(sp?) the cord to the tube and stepping on the cord to bring the tube below the bladder so that it'll flow.
Thanks Jason, all your videos are very educational, I'll try some of your ideas. I'll give you credit when I tell my friends about these handy lessons.
I make the holes in the welded corners of the bag--it doesn't actually pierce the part of the canteen that holds the water so that's hwo it doesn't leak. Hope that helps!
u can also make a shelf by getting a thick piece of wood and cutting it circular and on the other side making a semi-circle and drilling it all the way through then get a bungie cord and stick it in the semi-circle drilled so its tight on the tree and there u have a shelf on a tree for putting your soap or other stuff.

in third world countries they actually have gourds hanging with soap on a rope. they do this to encourage handwashing after using the latrine!
rosrychaplet 2 years ago
Dumb idea for handwashing - wastes water, creates a swampy, mucky area where the water spills.
Good idea for holding water - then easy to pour into bowl, pan or kettle for washing or heating.
