The guitar work stands out on this one. Dark and grim sounding ... very moody. The somber, lonely feel of the lyrics about moving on (closing a door on something) holds your attention sustained. I sense also a attitude of bitterness about the past but determination to rise above everything in a strong way (amplified by the crashing guitar notes, awesome!). Makes me a think a little of Marc Cohn but in a more driven (forceful) way. Your ease and comfortability with singing/playing is impeccable.
