I've found this cool little thing called an "opinion." It allows me to believe that ARP is leaps and bounds better than guys like SRV, The Beatles, Led Zep... why, even Hendrix! This "opinion" certainly is a nifty little invention.

Axel Rudy Pell is old, so he is old school. This is not much different than the Scorpians, White Snake and other ballad rock bands. So you really can't compare them to the bands you mentioned. Now, I think Joe Walsh is an incredible strat player. He invented the most amazing melodies with the Eagles, and the James Gang, he rocks today like never before. I like Zappa, too. I think ARP is technically accomplished, but that doesn't make the music better. Oh, opinions, opionions...
