Abigail109, and anyone who doesn't know, J K Rowling writes the UK Editions first. Then, she writes them for USA, using American puncuation, spelling and all of that sort. Because Philosopher in USA more likely means Sorcerer, the title was changed for the two countries. For that reason, only USA uses the title Sorcerer's Stone, whereas Canada, Australia and UK use Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The othher titles of the series are the same in UK/Canada/Australia and USA.
