This is the first "real" hog hunting video I've seen !! It's fun to stake out and shoot the hog, but what abut the other half of the equation ? We get to see you start to dress the beast out ! That's what others aren't doing....Thank you for keeping it the way it REALLY is !!
hello guys nice hogs....im from reddingca n just gettin into pig hunting n dnt kno wer to go...lol..any tips to wer to go..?ill evn pay alil if have too..
marinesarmen try the kings mt down buy paso robles or go to coalinga and ask some ranchers i had a spot down there that was over 100,000 acres and when i was at a gas station a man came and asked me to come to his house and shoot some for him that where busting his barn up to get hay.i went that evening and saw 20 hogs.
Is kings mtn public land, Ive hunted most of the blm around coalinga ,hunter ligget, los padres, stockdalemtn etc.... but dont remember hearing of kings mtn.. thanks
Hopland is about 2 hours south west of Chico. Sonoma and Mendocino counties hold most of the states feral pigs. Cow mountain (BLM land), Fort Hunt(legett), The Mendocino National forest, Cache Creek, are some of the public land options for decent hog hunting. Cache Creek is pretty close to Chico.Fort Hunt is by pass only.If you want 100% success, book a guided hunt in Sonoma or Mendocino. They run about 300-500 for a 1 day, 1 pig, person. You can also do a self guided private ranch hunt for less
know any good self guided ranches,we have tried that a couple times but to tell u the truth ive seen more sign on hunter ligget. love to find a good trespass hunt!!!!
Sorry can't say for sure. There's a lot to choose from. Google self guided hog hunt plus where you wanna go. My best luck on private property has been, both guided and self guided. Make friends with large property owners, thats my best advice. My best spots are in Cazadero and forestville, north west Sonoma County area. Anywhere with a lot of Grape vine, Healdsburg is about as good as it gets. If, I find any good self guided ranches this year, i'll let you know. Please do the same for me.
yeah let us know and we'll do the same, have u been hittin lake sonoma ,hunted it a few times when it was a slug hunt, do you know if its gettin hunted hard.ive thought about dustin off the bow just got to many hobbies
there is alway's blm-land in igo nor-cal area they are over run and have them going through town all the time but they are meaner here so don't run out of ammo or you could end up in a tree for a week
@haylspa Bullshit. I live minutes out of Igo. What BLM land are refering to that is overrun with pigs? There are private ranches that certainly have pigs but don't allow hunting unless you have an in.
@nelsonboy707 thanks for the info! what kind of terrain is best for hunting hogs. im heading out to mendicino national forest this summer and this will be my first hunt. just looking for some helpful tips. thanks once again
We had a good hunt with Tim. He knows his business and properties. We would have never posted the video with him if we thought otherwise. We would not discourage anyone from hunting with Tim. I was over the top, impressed with Jason Montagner at North Powder Outfitters. There are people that are good and there are people that are great The Best of the Best. That was the experience We had with North Powder Outfitters and why we have and will continue to talk Jason up every chance we get.
i was wondering wher did u hunt the pigs and can u tell me exacly the plase pleasei leave in LA so its hard for me to find plases like that please can u tell me if u can
these were both nor cal hunts,if u r from la u probably want to look in the king city, paso robles, coalinga area, there used to be good oportunities on the coastal islands and tejon ranch but places to hunt are getting tougher .u can hunt military bases ft hunter ligget, camp roberts, or blm land around coalinga, but it will cost u less in frustration and gas to hunt a ranch with someone who knows where the hogs are.
actually the hardest thing about hunting hogs in cali is finding a decent place to hunt.we do some public hog hunting but you'll actually spend less money if you pay for ranch access.( per hog taken)or maybe u know someone whose has some prime acres.good luck hunting hogs is a blast whether u get one or not
hey, nice video. They were some good looking pigs. I'm pretty new to pig hunting and I was wondering if u knew where I could find the California regulations for boars. Like can I hunt them at night? I don't hunt with dogs .....So would it still be able to stalk or do I want a stand ?
Nice One!
How much did you pay for the guide @FischerOutdoors?

I like using my 270 pistol, it's easy to travel the brush with hits pretty hard.
