I've never tried the Schecter but the LP has a comfortable chunky neck, its light weighted and sounds like it's supposed to. Every guitar is unique. Take it as it is. Enjoy!

@mkwlord this is the faded cherry, the other ones got gloss and is shiny, p90s are overwound single coil pickups for a hotter, noisier single coil pickup sound. these are humbuckers, alot quieter (buzz-wise) and smoother, less twangy than single coils

The neck is thicker than the average Fender American Standard guitars.It is thin at the nut and gradually begins to get thick at the 7th fret.

@NoisyStrings I REALLY wish both fender and gibson would get with the times and realize not everyone wants a baseball bat neck.thinner necks (not necessarily Ibanez thin,but still thin) should either be standard or at the very least an option.you know?

Well, this one is not a baseball bat neck at all but it's not a thin one either. The fender american standard necks have a slim profile, they're just a tad thicker than ibanez rg guitars. You might want to look at ephiphone les pauls, I've got the idea they've got thinner necks than gibson's but can't confirm this.

Other than that, you get use to them eventually :)

Thank You for the Clean Demo, others say theirs is clean when they add tons of reverb or chorus! A Clean demo is just that.... a CLEAN sound so WE can HEAR the Tonal diff. with PU changes, etc..... Thanks AGAIN!

@NoisyStrings Pretty good, lol. I went with the mahogany wood finish though. It sounds real sweat, I've started using some tap melodies with it because it plays real well with those. Now trying to find a distortion that sounds good for all kinds of things.

I paid an extra $100 for it when I got it to corporate and they gave me a 10 year warranty for it so if it breaks or anything they will fix it or replace it. And I think it's definitely worth having for ten years.

I use a dry cloth to wipe the neck when I'm finish. I would do the same to the body if it ever needs to.
