Barkley and Carter would go up to Gum curve at night and they would screw around with them and make them talk, this is the same purpose...

Just coasting backward downhill the only thing you have to do is keep the fire hot and water in the boiler. So I had plenty of time to mess around with my video camera.

with their own whistle styles back in the day who did it for A JOB, instead of
"playing trains", this is definitely an instant soft-on.
If you visited Cass, WV back in the 60s when old timers like Clyde Galford on
Engine #4 were still on the job they'd raise chill bumps all over you with their
whistle artistry. This is just so much goof off.
