@MrPsycofight it is pretty common, because you have one stonger side, but you should do dumbell workout instead of bench press, so the pecs become even.
i have a question Jeff im not looking for deffinition im mainly looking for mass can i get that through your program? because im trying to get a good 7 months of bulk in please reply trying to gain as much mass as possible
hey man hey bud hey dude hey Mr. CAVALIERE my body is a-symmetric as in uneven and i am really tired of it especially my obliques lower abs love handles. my left one is all sexy and my right one is barely noticeable. how do i even them out? which way should i rotate to work on my right oblique? HELP!!!
i want to get stronger but i dont want my muscles to get as BIG as yours are. i want cuts. should i do less reps and higher weight or just stick to this?
@2014402janus less reps higher weight. dont even think of getting as big as him, you wont if you limit calories lol. btw he isnt very big, you cant really tell he's ripped in a t shirt, he is just right.
@2014402janus less reps and higher weight ups muscle size. cuts would be for less weight more reps. also push up and things with body weight are good for that
@2014402janus keep in mind how you look is going to come from your nutrition. Obviously I don't know where you are but running a slight calorie deficit, eating good quality carbs, proteins and fats and drinking lots of water and sleeping will get you closer to your goals.
Filling out my upper chest is my number 1 goal right now. There's a little area between my pecs where there is no muscle at all. I'm getting there, slowly, but surely.
Hi Jeff, would it be possible to do a bit on the effects of pinching together your shoulder blades when doing any bench press. I've seen numerous videos mention it to avoid to much use of the shoulders.... but would love to hear any tips you have. Many thanks.
Dang brother i love every video you have posted on youtube. Your workouts are freaking awesome! I'm broke or else i subscribe and purchase your program. You got new stuff i've never seen before! Great Job!
Hey Jeff, I need some serious help with my only problem.....a unique way to target the upper chest very hard but with bodyweight. I have incline pushuped my self to death. Slow reps, fast reps, holding everything but nothing! is there a position i am overlooking? A way to position the hands? Please this is my only problem.
hey jeff ive got a quick question. I'm 15 and want to get a great athletic body ( my body at the moment is quite defined but not exactly "muscly" like you) so what I'm asking is is the 90 day program appropriate for me??? thanks ???
hey jeff, got a question for you! I've asked around in blogs and about everywhere else. It seems to me that many guys have this same problem. I believe my chest is holding extra fat or could this be water weight? I'm working mostly on fat loss right now and I believe I am near 10-12% BF right now. Any suggestions as to a workout or something that could steer me in the right direction? Thanks!! Keep the vids comin!
Hey Jeff. Awesome videos you've got here man, congrats! 've been glued for the past hour. One topic I haven't found information on was muscles that grow unevenly. I'm working my chest as evenly as I can, but one side is growing faster than the other. Do you have any advice on training slower side of the chest?
Hey Jeff. You have a ton of great videos, but i have no idea when to do each workout. Could you reply with a workout schedule using your workouts? It would be much appreciated.
Hey Jeff, Thanks for all the cool videos, I weigh 175 lbs right now, training hard. I was wondering... if i was to get Athlean X ,do you think it is realistic to think that I would gain 15 lbs?
I wish your cameraman would have panned up a little bit so we could see the thumb tilt movement...kinda frustrating, that's the heart of this video and I can't quite see how it's done
@aznrice228 All you need to do the home workout is some dumbbells, a doorway pullup bar, a bench or physioball to lay on, and a piece of resistance tubing! That's it. Actually...all of these things can be gotten very inexpensively at any local sporting goods store. To your suXXess.....Jeff
@JDCav24 hi jeff, how are u doing...i just wanna ask if you know whats the best solution for stretch marks... i started gaining weight and some striae start showing in my upper body between my upper arm and chest... is there any type of treatment that really works?? i started taking vitamin c and e, and using products rich in vitamin e.. but it keeps getting bigger... thanks..
@JDCav24 hey Jeff Just started your program and didnt see in the upper/push where i would be working my upper chest and was wondering what will replace that
Hello Jeff, i've had a question i've been contemplating and was wondering if i can get your opinion or answer. Does it make a difference (when working out) if we exhale or inhale when exerting pressure? Exhaling seems to help better with explosive movements, but i've also seen inhaling while exerting as well. What's the difference between these two?
Hey jeff, love this tip! im currently on the athlean x training system/meal plans,i know your meal plans are great way to slim down and build muscle, but what about guys who are slim and need to put on a bit of weight and muscle, have you any tips?
Hey jeff i have a question How tall are you? im asking you that because my stength coach tells me that is harder for someone who is tall gain mass (he is 5'6) im 6'2 and 219 pounds and i look like im 180 what can i do to gain mass? i play QB in college in Mexico you have something for arm strength? i've used your program and its awesome but i need to gain mass and arm strength. andy advice?
I like how every video the quality seems to get better. And i keep learning something new, that i can incorporate into any of my workouts. Also the new design of the site looks pretty good, more modernized.
@loum111 well hopefully you get a reply from JDCav but for myself dips have always worked wonders. I think he's made a video for lower chest too but not sure
@loum111 just use a decline bench with dumbbells..if you want growth then use an 8-12 rep maximum...if you want strength then use 2-6 rep maximum...do around 3-4 sets. if your feeling strong on somedays, then do 4 sets
@avengingangelRaziel no offence, but thats a bad attitude to have. You either train hard or go home. Proteins depend on the fat content a lot of the time, essentially, if you dont train hard and push yourself th the max and shock the muscles, then you a) wasted a workout and b) wasted moeny on supplements. If you want to get results, you have to put in the hard work.
Will taking protein supplements and not working as hard make me fat? Also, being 15y.o. I might grow still so should I take whey protein? Going to start going to the gym with my friends by December so yeah an answer asap will help Thanks
I would love to possess a body like yours!! i work out at home, all i got access to is a pull up bar and some weight plates. im wondering how do i get my chest to pop out more which i mean like the chest pops out from the body significantly but i dont mean definition which i also desire. how do i make it pop when all i can do is push ups. rite now i do 3 chair push ups with 1 chair for my legs and 2 for my hands and this lets me get really below my hands and deep stretch. i use a bag with wieght as resistance so do u have tips?
quick quesion. i work out at home and dont have access to many equipment or machines. all i got is a pull up bar and some weight plates. how can i make my chest pop out more if u know wat i mean by that (Make it pop like stick out more from the body) by doing only push-ups? the push-ups i mostly do are 3 chair pushups where im on a chair with my feet and 2 for my hands and that makes me get down really down. i also use a bag filled with weight for resistance, any tips?
hey jeff and anyone else that reads my comment, can you guys help me with something? I have a problem with symmetry and I know that it is kind of stupid, but I'm somewhat self conscious about my uneven chest. My left chest is more developed and there is more of a lower chest , but my right is thicker yet less lower chest. Thanks for the help.
@hardo4u2do thanks but which side are you speaking of? the right side, which i said was thicker but less lower chest or the left side which is more developed but less of a lower chest
@wobblegook after your workout do just get on a decline bench and do dumbbell benchpress with your 8-10 rep maximum for a few reps on your right side.so if your doin 3 sets for your chest workout then just get in an extra set after the 3 sets.Whichever side needs more upper chest work then do an extra incline bench set with a dumbbell. Although i wouldnt recommend doin this for too long cuz then you'll just get imbalances. so just keep at it until its even. if you want strength then use 3-6 reps
Also a question if you will! I'm experiencing lower back, have been for a good two months now, should i take time off working out? I've realised my mistakes that have led me to this state and I've rectified them, however is it just going to take solid rest without weight training to get rid of it? I've also changed my mattress to a firmer one, changed my sitting posture and been performing lower back strengthening exercises/stretches before, THANK YOU!
Hey Jeff, i have a question/routine i would like you to do or show me the best way to do it. Its basically what muscles get used and what part of the chest it hits, and tips would be helpful! Dumbbell bench press on a balance ball, or the giant boucey ball thingy! hahaha Thanks! :)
HEY JEFF, great vid! i always get really hungry at night! can you please suggest some late night snacks that wont waste all the effort i put in at the gym? :)
Hey Jeff. Thanks a lot for the tip, I'm giving this a try in the gym later today.
I was wondering if you could do another video in the kitchen soon, maybe a video where you tell us what kind of meat we should eat/avoid and how will should build up a diet.
No, you're not too young. You have to train strictly and not overdo it. Find a good program, coach, read serious stuff not crap that promises miracles. I started training at age 13. I was fifteen before I actually knew anything. By age 17, I won my first physique contest judged by the AAU Mr. America, Joe Abbenda. Go for it, laddy.
@jwsw1990 For maximizing upper chest development without sacrificing strength on the press...the best angle is between 30 and 45 degrees. Go beyond this and you start working too much anterior deltoid. Flatter and you favor more of the middle chest instead. Hope that helps guys!
@JDCav24 hey jeff great videos! just 1 question im a fairly thin guy i weigh about 165 pounds. would i have to bulk up before i could get more ripped and lean?
I have been working out for a year, and I have quite alot of flab still, because i eat lots of junk food every now and then, but I have quite alot of lean muscle mass too, since i do cardio aswell. my problem is however, that my muscles are very soft when untensed. far too soft. is there any way i can fix that?
The only part of the chest i have problems with is that Cut that circulates from the armpit to the shoulder. Is that like abs? So it wont show unless ur low on BF%?
@ovariesniper im having the same problem, getting the underline of the chest which has become a pain and ive tried decline stuff which I heard was good for that but i havent seen much of a change and my body fat is 13%
@sixpacks24 i see, 13% bf isnt bad thats pretty good, i would have to say i am somewhere between 15%. Maybe it has to do with genetics? I dunno cuz when i work my chest out i feel that ripping feeling all the time i go all out and even as i increase in strength nothing changes is very frustrating lol. I still think it might be that we need to loose more BF% how tall are you?
@sixpacks24 o wow i am the same height as you lol. It could just be bad genetics or perhaps we need to bulk more, very though area to work out for sure.
Hey Guys.....sorry for the cropped video. That's the editing not the camera shoot. Anyway, nothing to get upset about. The essence of the tip is that I say to "turn your thumbs up as you press". Holding your dumbbells as I am, there's only two places for your thumbs to travel as you press....turn up or turn down. Just turn them from facing each other to a position where they're facing up more towards the ceiling. I'll go over it again quickly in the next video. Enjoy the weekend!
every time I see video for you or see your channel....I ask my self how much does that Gym costs you and what is that fucking job that make you earn those money....
don't understand me wrong I wish you good luck and better than that 10 times..
but it's just a question get in my mind ...but you are a good coach and good athlete
thanks for the vid tip Jeff, this is one of this issues I'm having regarding the upper chest area....I would've like to SEE how your thumbs were pointing though when you mentioned it
i'm sure it's a great tip, but it's worthless to talk about how your thumbs are placed when the filming doesn't even show your hands...please reshoot this.
@alishass2050 you may be bigger than him but I bet he is more athletic.

quick quesion. i work out at home and dont have access to many equipment or machines. all i got is a pull up bar and some weight plates. how can i make my chest pop out more if u know wat i mean by that (Make it pop like stick out more from the body) by doing only push-ups? the push-ups i mostly do are 3 chair pushups where im on a chair with my feet and 2 for my hands and that makes me get down really down. i also use a bag filled with weight for resistance, any tips?

hey jeff and anyone else that reads my comment, can you guys help me with something? I have a problem with symmetry and I know that it is kind of stupid, but I'm somewhat self conscious about my uneven chest. My left chest is more developed and there is more of a lower chest , but my right is thicker yet less lower chest. Thanks for the help.
wobblegook 1 year ago
@wobblegook just do an extra rep or 2 on the other side for about a month or two...worked for me
hardo4u2do 1 year ago
@hardo4u2do thanks but which side are you speaking of? the right side, which i said was thicker but less lower chest or the left side which is more developed but less of a lower chest
wobblegook 1 year ago
@wobblegook after your workout do just get on a decline bench and do dumbbell benchpress with your 8-10 rep maximum for a few reps on your right side.so if your doin 3 sets for your chest workout then just get in an extra set after the 3 sets.Whichever side needs more upper chest work then do an extra incline bench set with a dumbbell. Although i wouldnt recommend doin this for too long cuz then you'll just get imbalances. so just keep at it until its even. if you want strength then use 3-6 reps

where is the video for inner chest...i cant seem to find good exercises for it?

Man this looks painful on the back Jeff!

Does the sit-up at the end not put a lot of strain on the lower back?

Hey Jeff. Thanks a lot for the tip, I'm giving this a try in the gym later today.
I was wondering if you could do another video in the kitchen soon, maybe a video where you tell us what kind of meat we should eat/avoid and how will should build up a diet.

hey jeff I'm 14 and i already have 6 pack but I want me Chest to be ripped what should I do?
sandro8114 1 year ago
No, you're not too young. You have to train strictly and not overdo it. Find a good program, coach, read serious stuff not crap that promises miracles. I started training at age 13. I was fifteen before I actually knew anything. By age 17, I won my first physique contest judged by the AAU Mr. America, Joe Abbenda. Go for it, laddy.

Hey Jeff, a question; what is the best set-up for incline bench? How many degrees to have maximum effect ?
jwsw1990 1 year ago
@jwsw1990 For maximizing upper chest development without sacrificing strength on the press...the best angle is between 30 and 45 degrees. Go beyond this and you start working too much anterior deltoid. Flatter and you favor more of the middle chest instead. Hope that helps guys!
JDCav24 1 year ago 9
@JDCav24 Thank you for replying that fast, Haha, does tilting the seat up affect anything ?
jwsw1990 1 year ago
@JDCav24 Have you got any recomendations on what bench to buy? i have all the equipment apart from the bench.

JEFF PLEASE REPLY!!!!
I have been working out for a year, and I have quite alot of flab still, because i eat lots of junk food every now and then, but I have quite alot of lean muscle mass too, since i do cardio aswell. my problem is however, that my muscles are very soft when untensed. far too soft. is there any way i can fix that?

Hey jeff im 16 and wondering if i should take whey protein but ive heard that once you atop taking whey your muscles get weak loose is that true?
Daivy15 1 year ago
@Daivy15 not true at all. im the same age as you and been taking wheybolic protein shakes for sometime now and dont feel that..
CrispyxPro 1 year ago
@Daivy15 no, that's steroids :)
if you stop taking protein supplements just eat more protein rich foods to avoid muscle breakdown.
remember supplements are only to help you get the amount of protein you need, if you eat enough protein rich foods then you don't need supplements.

The only part of the chest i have problems with is that Cut that circulates from the armpit to the shoulder. Is that like abs? So it wont show unless ur low on BF%?
ovariesniper 1 year ago
@ovariesniper im having the same problem, getting the underline of the chest which has become a pain and ive tried decline stuff which I heard was good for that but i havent seen much of a change and my body fat is 13%
sixpacks24 1 year ago
@sixpacks24 i see, 13% bf isnt bad thats pretty good, i would have to say i am somewhere between 15%. Maybe it has to do with genetics? I dunno cuz when i work my chest out i feel that ripping feeling all the time i go all out and even as i increase in strength nothing changes is very frustrating lol. I still think it might be that we need to loose more BF% how tall are you?
ovariesniper 1 year ago
@ovariesniper im 5' 7" and i have also been increasing weight and pushing myself but i dont seem to be getting that underline of the chest
sixpacks24 1 year ago
@sixpacks24 o wow i am the same height as you lol. It could just be bad genetics or perhaps we need to bulk more, very though area to work out for sure.
ovariesniper 1 year ago
Hey Guys.....sorry for the cropped video. That's the editing not the camera shoot. Anyway, nothing to get upset about. The essence of the tip is that I say to "turn your thumbs up as you press". Holding your dumbbells as I am, there's only two places for your thumbs to travel as you press....turn up or turn down. Just turn them from facing each other to a position where they're facing up more towards the ceiling. I'll go over it again quickly in the next video. Enjoy the weekend!
