I dont think I'm understanding this at all... Total Eclipses is Sazh's ultimate weapon... And they don't name the weapon itself ultimate weapon just give it the star and wont let you upgraded it anymore? Is that what's going on

@Tilearian each weapon has its name until you upgrade it to ultimate stage. thats why we dont have 6 x Sazh`s ultimate weapons. that means, we only need to upgrade one weapon to ultimate stage for the achivement/torphy. you wont be able to upgrade it after it reaches its ultimate stage.

@kasimhussain21 i know what you mean. you were lucky. thats all. sometime i did get 3 platinum ingorts from 4 adamantoises. i later turned off the console for about 20 secs to reset the programme and then reload the game to farm platinum ingorts if i didnt get anything from 2/3 fights(7 mins avg per fight). the best thing is, take off the plug from xbox/ps3 completely for 20 secs. it will definitely change something.

you can get trap either by dismantling ultimate weapons or farming with adamantoises. you wont have a problem of getting them if you are going for treasure hunter achievement.

it depends. you gona need a lot if you want to upgrade all weapons. the quickest way for treasure hunter achievement is to upgrade a weapon to Ultimate Stage and MAX it and then dismantle it and sell all loots.. you will get around 1.2 M from selling some of the weapons and some dont. so you will get some Gil back for another weapon. THIS IS FOR ULTIMATE WEAPONS cuz you will get rubbish Gil if you do that to 2nd stage weapon cuz you dont need to MAX 2nd level for Treasure Hunter.

what issues do you have for those missions?

beaten titan trials missions are rather hard. use items like i did to get the first strike gives you to earn 5 stars or maybe you should check other players` video clips and see what strategy they used to earn them 5 stars. i havent checked any video clips when i did those missions. so my strategies were not as good as theirs.

guidebook is rubbish as far as i am concerned. i have it as well but not good for all the missions.

Just can't get 5 star in them and not quick enough to win fast enough.I have speed sash equip on my three characters. I'm using Vanille,Fang and hope. Are they best for missions.What guides should I use instead of my official guide?

as for the lower missions, you need sprint shoes which gives you auto-haste plus if you use the items to get initiative and stats boost, then you could earn 5 stars easily in most of the missions.

as for the missions that would take time, i would rather like to use the accessoires that boost your ATK or DEF, etc... even sprint shoes are not useful especially for mission 47 and some of the missions later in the game.

it depends. i hardly change my team but only 2 or 3 times that i needed to change it due to the difficulties that i had without using certain characters. mainly for mission 62(i think).

you will get one by defeating mission 11 boss and another one can be dug up by a chocobo in grand pulse. digging up 20 times will gurantee the achievement and lots of good stuffs.

just type how to get sprint shoes and search for my vidoe clip in youtube. you need patient and luck. good luck mate.

I'm have been using Vanille,Fang and Hope for a full month.I have beaten this game with this party setup ever since I have beaten this game in August 18,2010.Now some trophies are too difficult.

i dont like to use Hope cuz he has low HP. i used lighting cuz she has quick stagger ability sword which is good for staggering quickily.

at the end of the day, strategy is the main issue for beating the bosses in the missions. i would like to suggest you that you may need to change your team a few times for certain missions.

i hardly upgraded weapons untill the final boss. so, i dont think it is the case. upgrading weapons is fine if you can afford to spend lots of Gil.

i had seen so many comments about how difficult to kill 3 tonberries but i never had a problem of killing them. i used the items to boost my stats and get initiative and then used spinning attacks which killed them pretty quickly. why did you use Death with vanille? no need for that.

vanille is not really important person for mission 41. the trick is, use shrouds and kill one tonberry ASAP and then use Magic attacks to get another one stagger and then finish it off with physical attacks while it is in stagger mode. mind you that another person will be attacking another tonberry as long as you are attacking yours with physical attacks unless you switch your attack mode to magic. i hope you do understand my point.

maybe, you should upgrade the weapons before doing the missions. the best way for you to farm Gil is in Eden where you can fight one handed monsters for Perfume which can be sold for 12,000 Gil and also you might get a rare items which can be sold for a bit of GIl as well.

pleasure. you should equip with two accessories for the drop items. cant remeber their names. upgrade them before you go to eden. it gives you more chances of having perfumes as a drop item. i got quite a lot in a few fights. i would say, i could get avg 20 per hour. you gona need over 1 M gil to upgrade one weapon to its ultimate stage. upgrade the weapons to 2nd stage and spend more Gil on upgrading accessories that boost physical and magic attacks. thats important as well.

i would like to say one more thing though which is to use magic at the start of the battle would be an good idea to build up the chain combo before finishing with physical attack for the longer fight.

The lack of towns didnt bother me as much as the lack of eyecandy. A game like tihs thats departing from traditional FF should have been jam packed with eyecandy for the main cast. Every main cast character should have had all kinds of crazy jaw dropping special attacks and spells. I cant believe they forgot to include that.

What a pointless game mechanic. The weapons didnt do anything cool. There were no fancy attacks for the weapons. The spells were all trash. No ULTIMA? What a joke. The summon finishing spells were the worst the series has ever seen. I cant believe id rather watch spells from FF12 then this blunder of a game. So much potential squandered on scenary. Devs took no time to make the spells and action look breathtaking. *cries* This series is dead to me.

the most disappointing thing in FFXIII is that there are no towns or cities that we would like to go to.

lionheart is the best weapon for lighting because of quick stagger ability. otherwise i would like to use Organyx for high ATK for both comander and ravenger.

pandora spear is the best weapon for fang because you will need debuffing skills such as slow,etc...when you are going to fight tougher foes. i use snow instead cuz i like snow, lightinh and vanille as my main party. you can chose taming pole for high ATK with stagger ability if you want to use different weapon for lighting.

you might like to use vidonir because of its debuffing ability to balance your party but most of the gamers best choice is hawkeye for some reason. malphs has the highest attacking power on both comander and ranvenger like the one for lightinh and fang that i mentioned in previous comment but will reduced character HP to almost HALF and you cant boost their HP with accessories either. so keep that in mind when you set up your characters and party.

i am using scrificial circle for snow now but i dont use sazh at all. as i mentioned before that there is one weapon that gives you high ATK on both magic and normal attack for each character but it will reduce their HP to almost 60%. so my snow HP is around 18000 as you had seen in my video clips.

vanille`s weapon should be good at debuffing or buffing cuz you need that to kill adamantoise for CP farming.

i would like to use Antares Deluxes for sazh because of its chain bonus boost abitliy if snow is my main character. one bad thing about sazh is , 3 of his weapons will need plenty of Ultracompact Reactor to upgrad it to MAX its Ultimate form. so, save the money first. :(

adamanchild from grandpulse will transform to shalong gui after you finished mission 51(it didnt work with me. so i only went back there after mission 64). they all are in exact locations of where you find adamanchilds(6 of them in total, i think)

cuz i tried with different number for each weapons. XD it took me a while before i got the basic idea of how many ultracompact reator are needed. check the weapon level and write it down for each weapons if you want tips. thats what i did. :)

i already had part 1 and 2 upgrading guide in my note book. so i just looked at them and tried a few time for ultimate weapon. just guess how many EXP points are needed base on weapons LEVEL. e.g. LVL 47 weapon will need about 23 or 24 of them. there are only a few weapons that actually cost you a lot. each character has one weapon that gona need too many EXP.

why dont you farm gil in chapter 9? it is not only gil that you will get by killing soldiers and robots but EXP too. you gona have so many chips in short amount of time. trust me. :)

nah, i cant get platinum ignots quite often since i finished mission 64. now i am back in grand pulse killing shaolong gui for dark matters and gold nugets. i know it is only 60000 Gil but i might have more chances of obtaining it than platinum ignots. so you know how bad the situation that i am having at the moment. :(
