kudos ...perfect saved me the time of scoping it out ... now i know where to put the shim so my lipos and hot motors dont rape my outer axle drive gears... doooh ... maybe LOSI should put a shim in there so we dont have to dick around and waste OUR time ehhh.... it might of cost Losi/ Horizon Hobby all of 1/100th of a penny for a .005 miligrams of stamped brass or copper...

i think you can make your own with a cheap harbor freight punch set or a paper punch and some cheap scrap laying around...

I just bought the HR aluminum gear case and had the same problem with the diff gears stripping. What I did was put one half of the aluminum case in the vise with wood on both sides so not to ruin the case and I squeezed it just a tiny bit. It worked like a charm with no shims.

you need to learn how to pull apart a diff you dont need to take apart the whole slipper set up and all that

Sadly I did and the wire was too big (1 strand of 12 G wire) the diff case would not close but I bought a new diff and I had no problem since. :)

The diff is not locked it's just for add presure on gear

if your diff is blocked it will be difficult to turn the wheel inside dampen the wheel outside which normally runs faster

aluminium case is to large and the the gear of the diff strip because she dont have a necesary pressure to ensure the good work with no slip
