@krekkan Because God is a personal God. He is looking at the lives that this man is affecting now. And perhaps for the next couple generations. Also, God didn't necessarily 'give' this man a life with no limbs. We live in a fallen world where life can throw some pretty nasty punches, but God can do amazing things with what life has given us, if we are willing to let Him. k I'll get off my soapbox now. lol

That's probably not what you mean, so I believe we're left with the conclusion that if god would exsist that he is the only one in your religion capable of creating these horrors. If not him nor humans then who is left?

@krekkan That's not what I'm trying to say, but the question is good. Really makes me think through things. We humans don't have the ability to create from nothing, but we do have the ability to create from things that are already there. My kids disobey and end up hurting themselves all the time. This was just bigger scale. The only thing God did was give us free will.

@krekkan Ok, first thing, you need to know what sin is. Sin is not "bad stuff we do that God dislikes". Sin is ANYTHING that separates us from God. Separation from God is not good. He is the sustain-er of life. So as we separate ourselves from God (I say "we" because all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God.) or "sin", we also seperate ourselves spiritually from the sustain-er of life.

@krekkan Now, if it's spiritual, how does it affect the physical? We can see only the visible, so we tend to minimalize the invisible. That is so dangerous, God had to come down, and show us how dangerous it was. The debt of sin is some pretty heavy wages. But this price He paid for it was outrageous. He didn't JUST lay down His "human body", He gave up His seat next to the Father, His Glory, and on the cross, was seperated from the Father to drink the full cup of wrath...for our sin.

@kewlazpewp I have picked up the bible I found that one part was filled with unforgivable cruelties not from man but from a loving god, and the the other part a man getting ready to die for sins I do not deserve to be punished for?
Do you think it's fair for babies to be called sinfull before they can even do anything wrong at all? Or that someone else should do so you could claim to be free of sin? Isn't it better to ask the people you hurt for forgiveness instead of God?

Mark 9:42 “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. You see reason for forgiveness between two fallen human beings, but you do not see that we need forgiveness from our perfect Creator who we offended? Maybe you're approaching this wrong. Humble yourself.

@kewlazpewp No I do not see that for a god that promises Hosea 13:16 "Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up." No douth that after these innocent died in such a horrible way they were sent straight to hell aswell -forever-. Explain to me how this could be a loving and just god, taking into account that he commanded this.

@krekkan If you take scripture out of context, you can twist it into whatever you want it to be. Israel has a track record of turning away from God. Without Him protecting them, surely their enemies would rape and plunder. God was telling them if they did not return to Him, their enemies would surely have their way. In the last sentence, there is forgiveness, and His anger is turned from them before anything bad happens. God wasn't threatening them, He was warning them about idolatry.

Thus the only strength and power of god at display here is that he is perfectly willing to give an unfair disatvantage in life to a perfectly innocent child.

Thank You for the video. An inspiration for me, and the whole world. I even showed this to my Sunday School students and they were totally amazed. I just pray that my message got through to the children. Just indescribable how Nick's story touched me....hope it will do the same to everyone else.

Praise god 4 Nick! As I got older I really realize life is about to know god& live in harmony with him. Since He is our creator, He know what is best for each individual, their callings, So we should tune into god's voice through bible, Holy Spirit to live every minutes& through all our life. Don't focus unto people, because even they are good some time of their lives, they corrupt& fall into the hand of Satan easily.
