  • Why did it turn white in the end? Did you cut the footage off from there?

  • @SegaMario That's it pointing at the sky a bit and yes, it made for a good out point. After that it was looking at the side of a rail, waiting for me to come back and turn it off- a bit dull to watch. So I edited both the start and the finish to keep 'just the action bit'. Thanks for the interest :)

  • next time, if u want, tape it to the tie. and cover it around and at the back with rocks so it does not get away or tip over.

  • Yep, definitly a don't try this at home vid but it is really good.

  • But I don't have Trains at home :(

  • omfggggg

  • I DO THIS ALL THE FUCKING TIME LOTS OF PEPS DO IT DUMB ASS

  • flat stanley :P

  • Is that an english train?

  • @Jazzyhorn111 Or I could use even more common sense and not have a 'next time'? :)

It was a spur of the moment thing; I didn't go equipped or expect the wind to move the camera at all. A simple elastic luggage bungy would have solved the issue though, without the need to carry 'a plate of iron' across miles of fields with me. But thanks for the input!

  • @SimplyPaul ur a brave man i would have shit my pants but im only 10 so its not wierd but damn dude

  • WOWOWOWOWOOW!

    I Like This

    Thanks!

  • @MrAnshul001 Where are your videos? I would very much like to call you a fatherfucker, but you are too lazy to shoot any videos. That makes you a handfucker.....

  • Comment removed

  • your thinking of a train; a train that will take you far away. you don't know where this train will take you.......

  • this was filmed on my birthday!

  • that could of inteferred with the aws and tpws

  • @LondonMidlandCity It wasn't a large camera; I doubt either system could have registered it. Especially as this was shot about 8 years ago - I didn't think they were fitted then.

  • you must be really skinny to fit under the train like that

  • was the camera broken and if so could it be repaired?

  • @tom201090 No, it was fine. I wouldn't try the same thing with my HS10 though.

  • @SimplyPaul it was quite a good shot considering it could have gone so much worse. At least you had the sense not to lie down between the tracks as some people have!

  • @SimplyPaul you wouldn't try it with a shotgun?

  • this is another vid where the comments are Sooooo entertaining ,

like : "dude how did you lay so flat to get that shot" BAhahaha

  • @MrAnshul001 Wow. What brought that on? If you didn't like it, feel free to say why, but let's not get personal. Or bring my white-haired saint of a mother into this.

  • @SimplyPaul I think and hope he means mother fucker in the badass sense, like Tommy Slick (A.K.A: Epic beard man or E.B.M), the old dude who punched that black guy on the bus, he was a real mother fucker, that's why he had that shit printed on his shirt.

  • That was great! I loved it!

  • You must be pretty flush with money to risk your camcorder like that

  • Im preety sure that people dont usually have railways in their homes to put cameras on...

  • Right, the camera was placed on the tracks, and the air moved the camera.

  • @TitaniumByFire Bingo! By Harry he's got it!

  • eh why do that trains are very heavy

  • its called mikey the pikey hes from ireland where i am from hes a dirty litle bogger from cork the south of ireland

  • i do this all the time!

  • @Ak22809 Well ok, so long as it's not at home... :)

  • @SimplyPaul Thats the worlds shortest train!

  • @Ak22809 Are you crazy?

  • yes! I had the same idea to do the same thing once, when I Was younger! But I thing it could be safe when you stay quietly with al parts of your body down. The axles of the train are in some level above the surface and there is a place for human body under it. But you must not pick up you head or arms up!!! But its a stupit idea over that.

  • I hope no retard kids will see this and try and copy it. We already have one dead 14 yo in my street cos of retard behaviour like this.

  • @MsCat130

There's a gravestone by a railroad crossing in my town saying "*name* *birth to death date* Always look both ways"

    There's one in every city...

  • even if the Cam moves-

    it´s a not-very-often video..

Isn´t that one of those English City-Trains? however...5*!

  • Class 168 'Clubman' DMU with Chiltern Railways.

  • great! fantastic video! :D

  • I'm glad you told me not to try this at home. I just happen to have a railway and a train in My living room.

  • poes close

  • I'll be on guard for a train tap tap tapping at my chamber door then. Thanks.

  • huh?

  • Touche.

  • haha

  • Tou know it's illegal to go on railway property right?

  • 'Tou' know what a footpath that crosses railway property is, right?

  • touche.

  • You know stepping off that footpath is stepping on to railway property right??

  • I didn't step off the footpath to place the camera, although it is possible my hand did tresspass into railway airspace. I await a call from the BTP.

  • just dont get yourself killed ok

  • Sound advice- thanks. Happy Christmas :)

  • ... that train is scary :(

    ... they're so fucking loud :D

  • Even electric ones aren't much quieter :(

  • Did u smash your camera?

  • No, it survived thanks. I wouldn't risk it again though.

  • I dunno, you see a video in front of you right?

  • Well some cameras( not all) let you download vids, if the plug-in fot the download wire isn't smashed.

  • that is one lucky camera. one millimetre too close and

it would be blown to smitherines!

  • how can do this at home? :D

  • You seem to be missing an I.

Perhaps you have a really big house, with a railway line in it? ;P

  • A;buy a video/cameraphone(include usb card for the investigation which will follow your untimely death, B learn how it functions and set on record, C, consume a large amount of alcohol and 3 or 4 valiums if you can get them, D lay your ass down between the tracks , keeping your arms between your legs camera in hand , press record when you see the train coming. CAUTION DON'T SIT UP TO CHECK THE VIEW FINDER IN YOUR CAMERA WHEN YOU HEAR THE SOUND OF THE TRAIN...oops you did'nt read this far.

  • the camera moves because of the air :D

  • the camera moves

  • That's pretty deep, man. Yes. The Camera Moves. I'm going to get a t-shirt printed with that on it.

  • Is that a Chiltern Railways train?

  • Well spotted.

  • LOL, the camera jumped when the train passed. Wonder if it was the wind or vibration.

  • no It was just frightened .

  • jumble jim must not be confused with rambling ronnie

  • Okay, OW.

  • cant believe some people are dumb enough to think the actual person layed down on the tracks! *bangs head*

  • @bronzeonion there is one guy who did it

  • @bronzeonion people have laid down on the tracks though! There r u-tube clips!

  • Lool

  • No,

What my complaint is why do people have to over step the mark when the majority stay out the 4ft and dont incroach the running area.

Soon we wont be able to access trackside if people keep doing this!!!

  • I didn't trespass; this was filmed at a footpath crossing. The train didn't even honk to warn me of its approach as I was the other side of the access gate long before it was anywhere near me. He wouldn't even have seen the dark camera against the dark wood of the crossing...

This is why everyone should look both ways before trying to cross a railway.

You've half a mind... Nice choice of phrase.

Idiotic? I'm bright enough to know lots of exclamation marks makes a post look like ranting.

  • You're an idiot.

  • your dumb and ruin everything...like you never done anything dangerous..plus you can hear trains now because they beap their horns retard.

  • vegitarian

  • holy smokes shut your damn pie hole kid no one gives a damn if you report them to the btc. what you should work on is your spelling

  • That you can't try this at home, unless you live in a railway tunnel. Explaining it does sort of flatten in though. Thanks for your "interest".

  • The force of the train would have set him flying.

  • depends how fast the trains going. if its going below 40mph it would be possible. But anything over i reckon the air turbulance would indeed send a person flying.

  • yeah, it's possible but how did he know how many trains drove over him?

  • I'm so glad everyone gets the joke element of 'don't try this at home' ;)

  • dont try this at home? i don't believe i own a railway track >_>

  • OMG! He survided :D HORRAY!!

  • Damn thats cool! almost took the camera with it!

  • DUDE! lol yes please don't even try to lay under a train extra pipes under there that are lower then others can kill you and i have a train track crossing 3 minute walk from here! or like in a minute :P go to my back alley walk down there you go! train tracks WINNIPEG MAN!

  • It's also possible to die under a train. Life is precious. Play safe children.

  • HAHAHAH FUNNY!!!!

  • dude i dont have a train at home

  • I'd have loved to see the camera get splattered all over the tracks.

  • If that would happen, then he wouldn't be able to put the footage on youtube...

  • What if the tape survived?

  • what tape, it's digital you fool

  • If the camera got splattered all over the tracks, then I'm assuming the tape would too lol..

  • I hope when you say "don't try this at home" you really mean don't watch this at home ! the only greater waste of time was me actually commenting on this pathetic video so I guess ....keep up the good work !

  • If I were you, I'd watch it at work. That way you'd be wasting the firm's time. Happy to help. :)

  • Have you *seen* some of the things children post on YouTube? They don't need any encouragement. For the record: KIDS: DON'T DO THIS. I DID SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO! Also, I wasn't trespassing and I recorded this when I was young and foolish. I uploaded it as I feel, as a piece of film, it has some value.

  • lol. How would i do this "at home"?! Do u expect us all to have a railway going through our houses? XD

  • nice work!!!!interesting

  • Damn I live in London and here we cant do that cause of the unbelievably high penalty for doing so but still cool video. Was I the only one that thought you were right there leaning on the tracks cause when the wind turned the camera it looked like it was hand held.

  • What state was the camera in after the train went past?

  • I'm happy to report it was fine, but as you can see, the wind drag did move it a bit. Another good reason not to copy this; it could have flipped and got scratched/broken.

  • the wind from the train blow the camera ! you lucky the train didn't run over the camera , if it did the camera would be crust into a million pieces.

  • I wasn't trespassing, I was on a footpath where it crosses the railway line. What work would I have caused you? Anyway, thanks for your interest.

  • The camera is beside the crossing's woodwork- I didn't leave the footpath to place it; I didn't need to, so I didn't. As for misjudging anything, I was 30ft+ off the track, on the other side of a gate when the train passed. I suppose there could have been a miraculous derailment to put the train where I stood, but then that'd hardly be my fault. I appreciate your sentiment, but the video is called *Don't* try this at home- I also discourage people from doing anything similar in my description.

  • He's not even under the train . He stay far away from the rail , he just put the camera under the train then leave it there so he can video tape it. Nothing wrong with that , nothing is gonna happen to the train or the rail. Camera is too small to cause any damage to the train or the rail, camera can't cause the train to derailed . The train would crust the camera into pieces the train is too heavy for the camera. Use your brain to think dude because you are so stupid.

  • read the video's description ding-dong!

since u did not read it here it is

Leaving a digital camera with a movie mode on a railway line isn't big and it isn't clever. But I did it.

  • what work do you do?

  • I would try it at home...only I don't have a train.

  • That's the joke. Well spotted! :)

  • lol good line!

  • That sound is scary

  • Why not??

  • woaaaa LOL

  • Anyway besides all the blah,blah,blah..It was still pretty AWESOME!

  • Comment removed

  • Oh, I won't try this at home, I'll try this in Vermont!!!

  • lol i dont want to

  • What do you mean "Don't try this at home"? I don't have a train at home do you?! :P haha..xD

  • ive always wanted to do that, just i am nervous that #1 my cam will get swept away, and #2 liquid will drop onto the camera

  • what you have all missed is that its an act of trespass and dangerous .you dont play on railway lines.see how much fun it is when your stuck on a train for hours after its hit someone taking a video for youtube!!!(nwrrsteampower comment). its not stupid, its fun and easy) stupid is fliming it then putting it on youtube so if ever it gets reported to the british transport police you will end up with a nice (£1000 pound fine)

  • It was a very naughty camera and needed to be punished.

  • were you not the leats bit worried about your camera? well. im off to ride a moose.

  • poor camera

  • i have enough of YOU bitch

  • What a bitch train

  • Yes, you tell that damn bitch train... (?)

  • I've had enough of... bitch... trains... O_O

  • do the engineers get pissed when they see a camra sitting on the tracks ?? and gets us railfanners in trouble Because the rr police will come by and be like dont put that shit on the tracks

  • no ive done this a lot but they get pissed off when ya put stuff on the rails

  • shouldve put the wrist strap on and held it under the tracks

    bye bye arm!!

  • I can`t try it at home :D even if i want , but i can try it on the track - not that i havent done it before :D

  • I'm dealing with the same problem, but I'm not using a digital camera with a movie function, but an old analog video camera (that is pratty have compared to most digital photo-camera's) But even at about 60-70 km/h I could see the camera almost getting 'grabbed' by the drive-by wind.

  • I think the simple thing to do would be to use an elastic bungy cord hooked UNDER the tracks or through those eyes you sometimes get on railway lines to push the camera down onto the sleeper and hold it there. Not that I'm recommending copying me- This is exactly the sort of thing that the British Transport Police take a dim view of.

  • stick water bombs with red paint on it and leave see what happens

  • dude i'm not being sarcastic but ur smart for not picking a fight with seleha619 and btw i'm a kid =P

  • Your English spelling is improving. Thanks for taking the time to reply, but can we keep profanity to a minimum please. Children use YouTube too.

  • seleha619 - Grow up, and stop using bad language. Real people use articulate sentences to get their point across. Not schoolboy swearing... If you are really 26 (as on your channel), then you should act that way.

  • I had no idea god felt so strongly about these things.

  • I would be able to do this easily. When the trains coming, hit record and get off the tracks. And seleha619, BE QUIET. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU BASH SOMEONE LIKE THAT. It's not stupid, it's fun and easy.

  • Tie a fish plate to the camera so it does not get blown away !

  • what's a fishplate? just weld a 3/8 " screw to a sheetmetal plate, screw your cam on it and it works, i didn't do that with the videos on my account

  • lol make the camera smaler

  • was that a class 168?

  • Ha i like it. ya should've added a bit of wieght 2 the camera tho!! well done!!
