Let me asure you, the BNP did bugger all, and councel members belonging to the BNP are now numbered at 5, two resined from the party, one of whom lost his seat to Labour at the last local vote, the other sits as a independant, and another two lost there seat to Labour agine at the last local vote. While Mr. Coleman himself is a good local counciler, the other 4 are utter shit.

Why didn't they show all of Stoke-on-Trent? the CITY of Stoke-on-Trent, people have this thing where they regard stoke as a town, Stoke on trent is made up of 6 different towns, (plus some more which aren't listed) Hanley Stoke Tunstall Longton Burslem Fenton Plus; Kidsgrove as the main town which was never listed. The worst areas of stoke on trent are, : Stoke ( the town,not the city) and Hanley Still i wouldn't swap it for anywhere else.

I like the BNP, as well as doleful, melancholic female voices. One might think that the source of her distress is the BNP, which is somehow connected to the perceived poverty of the city. That would have been unfortunate. However, her tone is identical in other reports (Skegness, Heartwood Forest).

The report prompted me to have a look at the Wikipedia entrance on Stoke. Looks like a pretty nice place. It would've been even better if minor parties (Tories, Libdems) joined the BNP.

God these women must be manic depressives strung out on vallium! Every city has lost traditional employment in some form or another. Why the big desire to portray Stoke as something it's not. i.e. "On its knees!" Stoke is no better or worse a place to live than anywhere else. I suppose the downturn in the local economy makes us an easy target for opportunistic doom merchants like Barton & Clay to sow their seeds of despair. A totally unrealistic portrayal to be taken with a dose of scepticism!
