Oh so now you say to use shea butter...lol I tried shea butter to do my twist out last night before I watched your video. What a wonderful product! I used it cause it was sitting next to me while I was twisting my hair. (Was too lazy to get Miss Jessie's curly pudding)What a great pay off for being lazy that time. Love your videos!
The only "hair product" I buy now is my conditioner, leave-in and gel. I rarely ever use the gel and my conditioners are almost 100% natural. Other than that, I buy natural oils and butters like shea, coconut, jojoba, sweet almond and whatnot. My hair just does not like chemicals. My new regimen is costing me so much less than before because making your own mixes out of organic ingredients is super cheap.
I have a question I want to go natural but I really don't want to go through the months to grow my hair...I heard that if you use vineger it can strip of the chemical...Is this true?
No that is not true. Nothing will strip the chemical from your hair (no matter what you're told). I know that is tough to hear but you'll either have to grow it out or just cut it off. Either of those sound crazy but you'll love it once you do it. If you don't want to deal with growing your hair, wear braids for a while. Good luck!
seriously? i would love to go natural but i cant because my natural hair is even thicker and harder to comb and is totally unmanageable and plus my hair is quite long and i dont wanna cut it. So idk what to do i really envy people with natural hair because i'm like i want it too looool
You hair may be thick & hard to comb but that is ONLY because ur taking care of your *permed* hair & not your natural hair. If you were to care for your hair as if it were already natural u would see that it is not unmanageable at all.U must ONLY comb ur hair with conditioner in it & never when its dry & manipulate ur hair in sections.U must also keep it moisturized & stay away from certain ingredients. If u start to do that, you will notice it is not so hard to care for. You can do it girl!
hello, I can relate to you not wanted to cut your long hair. I also had long hair that went down my back, but i did my big chop in november, and I love my hair. I do not miss the relaxer at all. I have videos on my hair journey
I know how you feel. Lynda helped me get through that interim stage when I had 2 types of hair but SheSingsLovely is right. I did pressed my hair before it grew a decent length to cut off the permed hair. Now I'm natural all the way.
Vinegar won't strip relaxer, jerry curls or texturizier chemicals from your hair, so you can't go instantly natural that way. Only way to go instant 100% natural is to cut off relaxed/chemical treated part of your hair at some point. But, vinegar can make color (dyes) fade in intensity or make your hair dry (if you use too much and too often without moisturizing afterwards).
your hair looks super healthy!!!
