  • .....loaded w/ chopped veggies within! My next project thanks to you is learning the art of noodle- pulling so that he will learn to eat soups! ( Because 'Po' eats and makes noodle soup in the movie.) Thank you on a job well done! Happy holidays and thank you again!!

  • Chef Tomm I really enjoyed your noodle pulling demos. I used to go to school at LeCordon Bleu and none of the chefs should the patience that you have in helping others perfect the culinary arts! Thank you so much for making your videos! I will definitely practice this art of noodle pulling. My son is a Kung-Fu Panda movie fan. And because he is such a picky eater cooking meals is a challenge. He inspired me to learn how to make boazi (dumplings) and he actually ate them loaded with chopped ve

  • Oh man.. I'm going to have to give this a try. I've got some asian based broth, green onions, fish balls, and no noodles in the house. Guess that's not a problem any more though. Look forward to the experience. A quick question - can these noodles be made a few days ahead and stored? Maybe dust them with a little flour to keep them from sticking and store in an airtight baggie in the fridge?

  • I've been trying to do this for some time now, but I can't even get the kneading done correctly. It never gets to that "smooth" stage where you can actually pull it. Going to try once more tomorrow.

  • @JaOrhoj It is tricky! It took me a long time to get it. I sell a noodle kit that comes with everything you need to make 2 batches of noodles. Sometimes it helps to work with this product because you know it will work. Let me know how it turns out. cheftomm com

  • @cheftomm I think I might have figured out what I have been doing wrong. I'll give it another shot tomorrow!

  • @JaOrhoj It takes some time. When I started there was no video on this. Let me know how it comes out.

  • @cheftomm I failed again. I can keep kneading for an hour and I never get to the point where it can be pulled. It is quite frustrating. It's not a 100% loss every time as I can roll it and cut out the noodles but that's not as interesting.

  • @JaOrhoj Where do you live? We need to figure this out. Are you following the recipe exactly?

  • @cheftomm I contacted you through Facebook.

  • @JaOrhoj I'm having the same problem. I'm using the recipe from your website Tom, and I spent about an hour and a half kneading and it wouldn't get to the pulling point.

  • what is the purpose of cake flour??

  • @leonjerry The gluten amount. If you follow the ratio you will come out with the proper amount. There are lots of recipes for this with different flour. Have you tried making it yet?

  • @cheftomm Well actually i tried with sermolina flour and all purpose flour but thanks

  • @leonjerry Semolina flour won't work so well but AP flour will work but you will have to work it more. I sell a kit that has everything you need to make 2 batches. This may help you get the feeling of it. They are at cheftomm com if you are interested.

  • I don't know what I'm looking forward to more; the feeling of accomplishment once I've finally mastered this, or the great feeling I'm going to get from throwing broken noodle dough across my kitchen in frustration! Thanks for the video, from Ireland!

  • what kind of flour do I have to need? Its not standard flour.

  • @bikeparts1 it is a combo of cake and all purpose. You can find the recipe on my website cheftomm com

  • Thank you so much!!

  • @magicbuskey You are welcome. I'm glad I could help!

  • The mix has only Flour ?

  • @DrMantecol No there is baking soda in there too. You can fine the recipe on my website cheftomm com

  • Chef Tomm that is the best ever

  • @fangs147 Thanks Fang!

  • Those are some long noodles. Just don't try to slurp them like you would in Japan.

  • It looks amazingly simple, but I suspect it isn't :). When you are pulling it, it appears that the parts at the end (in your hands) are joining back together, making a noodle 2 inches in diameter.

Is that happening, or am I seeing it incorrectly? If so, how do you prevent it? More flour? Cut and discard that part?

  • @blogegog It is kind of tricky! I have made a noodle kit for people who are interested. You can find it on my website. You are seeing correctly. What happens at the end is I cut the noodles away from the end and reuse it with my next batch. This is fairly common with the noodles. Thanks for writing.

  • Nicely done keep up the good work.

  • @Scootermagoo Thank you!

  • Respond to this video... Thanks!

  • Finally someone makes it simple step by step! Great video, Thanks

  • @ChefThia Thanks! I'm also selling noodle kits so you get everything you need to make them.

  • absolutely love it. thanks again for sharing.

  • @purewic Thanks for writing. I'm glad you liked it.
