I am EXTREMELY excited for this! Avatar the last airbender was a great show and I watched it over and over again. I'm in the middle of watching it again and I'm 18 years old xD Guess the nostalgia and sheer awesomeness kept me coming back haha.

And this trailer looks amazing! Korra seems like one badass character and the animation looks really good :D

But am I the only one being a little thrown off by the actual cities and buildings and people walking around in normal clothing?

@ickiesmickie It's supposed to be 70 yrs since Aang's death, and the creators of the series wanted to do a Shanghai inspired metropolis of the 1920's/30's. The city itself was build by Zuko and Aang for people of all nations. A lot can change in 70 yrs, that might explain the clothes and high rises. ; )

Oh yes! Oh wow, I remember watching Avatar when I was a kid and the series took forever to get to the ending and it wasn't until I was like 15 when I actually saw the series finale. I would SO watch this because Avatar was one of my favorite cartoons ever. I am realizing now after years I haven't watched half of the old cartoon channels I used to. Due to an issue with James Cameron's Avatar trademark applications, it was changed to The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra. But I saw a promo video on Nick and they change it back to Avatar: The Legend of Korra.

A few years laters Tenzin marry Pema(non bender) and they have three kids Jinora, Ikki, and Meelo who are also airbenders. There are currently four airbenders in this show. The Avatar cycle is Water, Earth, Fire, and Air by the time the new Avatar will be born a airbender there will be more airbenders and the airbenders will be descendants of Aang.

In order to GET a new Avatar, the old one would have to pass away and the next one would be born in the NEXT nation than the last one was before, which explains why Korra is Water Tribe. But, however, Aang &&' Katara DO end up having three kids total together and only one is an Airbender, who Korra learns Airbending from. (:
