The Marine's Hymn is something else entirely. The Caissons is not even similar. My pipe band has been playing for the US Marine Guards at the embassy here, and of course if we played anything even close to the Caissons, we'd be over hill and over dale and hitting the dusty trail with a Marine bulldog snapping at our heels.
The original song is Caissons Go Rolling Along. However, DOD(Department Of Defense) School Of Music composed a version of this to create the Army Goes Rolling along.
