Yes I have spoken to quit a few people in my neck of the woods about silver when it was at $16 - $23 an Oz . I'm surrounded by uber smart ass yuppies and they are all clueless. Now I just holler and ask if they have bought some yet (no not yet is the reply) as they were very interested and would look into it because they understood the ecomonic situation. I never forget to holler out the spot price either,before they can duck away in shame They don't like me very much anymore. :)

The smartest ones with lots of FIAT in the bank think they know it all, I have a friend that has over $100K cash in the bank making 2% and for the life of me can't get through to them. Their losing money to inflation but they believe the Gov stat inflation which doesn't include Food, Energy or Education.
Heating oil has gone up 24% in 12 months and still they don't listen....
