its so annoying when people ask how can someone lose an accent for an acting role. they dont lose anything, they just put on another accent. tons of actors do it, alex o'loughlin, ed weswick, christian bale, hugh laurie, they all have played roles with traditional american accents. even american actors will change their accent to another american accent, like a southern accent, for a movie role. its all a part of acting.

If you were American you would act just like we do...and the smart ones don't think that...also, the show is played in America where everybody has an American accent. So in all fairness it is okay for the host there to say "no accent" because when American's listen to ppl. speaking with American accents they don't hear an accent. Just as if you were an Australian speaking to people with Australian accents you would not acknowledge the fact they had an Ausie accent bec you wouldn't notice it.
