High notes? There aren't any, every note is this song is comfortably in my range. Plus I really don't get how people can like this one better. I'm more out of tune on this, the bass is sloppy and it's just poorly mixed.

It doesn't work like that, that's like saying a book with spelling errors written on napkins is better than one written correctly on paper. Either it's youtube's compressor or I've changed some detail that didn't need changing. Maybe it's because I did a very botch mastering job on the second one. Anyway it's gone now, maybe I did just waste a few days of my life :(

I was re mixing this track the other day and I found the bass to be a bit sloppy but also a bit tonally dull. It's been rerecorded now and it sounds, well, bassier :P

To record guitar into your computer you will need two things, audio recording software and (preferably) an audio mixer and/or audio interface. A cheaper option is to get a standard guitar cable and a 1/4 to 1/8 jack adapter and run it into your mic input of your computer - however this will sound pretty terrible.

I use a piece of software called Ulead VideoStudio 11, I think Final Cut Pro can do this, I dunno, I don't really know a huge amount about macs.

Pretty good, there. Your levels seem to be a touch off, though, which makes the voice sound a bit washed out, and seem more like background than the rest of the instrumentation.

Ah there are too many chords really to say properly, you'd be better off just watching the video and picking it out by ear.

The chorus bit is mostly switches and variations on D and G.

The verse though is (with capo on third fret) Em, G, Dsus2, Asus2. Hope that helps

I used Hydrogen for Linux, you can get it for Windows too I think. I used a downloaded drum kit, can't remember which one, but its all free and available if you look around. The drum tracks were then mixed separately in cubase.

For this song, I programmed the drums first and mixed them. Then I recorded guitar to the drums and then did the vocals and then bass then everything else :)

Always do the percussion first, you play differently to percussion than you do to click-track
