I stopped playing after 3 years. I miss the arena and BGs. but the game is set up in such a way, that you have to play for at least 6 hours a day if you want to be competitive, at least in PVP. There is so much one has to grind to attain the top gear and one also as to attain quite a bit of data on every class and become very skilled on proper strategy for different situations. I won't go back because of that, I don't have that much time to waste any more, lol.

WoW is not addicting. Its just like other games but other games you play for like 10-20 hours and you finished it and you are to bored to start all over again so you just move on. In WoW is just like in other games = you want to get to the end and in WoW it can be very long time. And in WoW is cool that you have enourmos freedom to do what you want with your char and there are soo many options and the fun can almost never stop so its a good game and addictive just like all others :D

Honestly I wouldn't say the amount of time you play is the adiction because anyone that's played this game knows it's just time consuming,the Ques/Quest/Raids/Walking around, I could go on forever, the sign of adiction is when you show emotion if the servers are down/you've lost your 3rd BG/Prices in AH frustrate you, there is a difference to likeing to play rather then being adicted.

Also, I play this game for hours a day, yet I can walk away from it whenever I want to. (I have... many times.) It's really stupid that people define playing this excessively as addiction. Addiction is dependency. Addiction is not playing for seven or eight hours when you don't have much else to do.

PW is a very bad game in my opinion, i tried it A LOT OF TIMES and the quests there are just like you say, HI, KILL 5 UGLY BUGS then i get a quest like GO TO CITY. WoW is just so fucking enormous, maybe some of the quests from 60-65 are a bit "go kill 10 space goats" but the game is great.
To be honest the best way to stop playing is. well for me was to play on a private server and do all the fun stuff you wanted to do. For example; I got the best gear in the game and went around killing eveythin, then when I came back to the real game I was just board of it and stopped playing. I started again with the new expansion, joined a private server and it all started again.

@OblivionLamm I think its when they play for more than a 24 hour period, then they decide to finally stand up, the second they do, they end up collapsing. Either due to fainting, or their legs forgetting how to work.

Sure some ppl take it too far... we cant set a prognosis on the extreme! If we did... alcohol would be illegal, so would religion probably..
But u gotta remember there is a multimillion industry out there claiming that kids need treatment for it, you seem like a bright guy, ull work it out!

It generally fails on the real terms of what addiction is!

Honestly I wouldn't say the amount of time you play is the adiction because anyone that's played this game knows it's just time consuming,the Ques/Quest/Raids/Walking around, I could go on forever, the sign of adiction is when you show emotion if the servers are down/you've lost your 3rd BG/Prices in AH frustrate you, there is a difference to likeing to play rather then being adicted.

Also, I play this game for hours a day, yet I can walk away from it whenever I want to. (I have... many times.) It's really stupid that people define playing this excessively as addiction. Addiction is dependency. Addiction is not playing for seven or eight hours when you don't have much else to do.

WoW isnt fun at all... quests are random crap like "Go get my teddybear back from the monster!" or something like that

PW is a very bad game in my opinion, i tried it A LOT OF TIMES and the quests there are just like you say, HI, KILL 5 UGLY BUGS then i get a quest like GO TO CITY. WoW is just so fucking enormous, maybe some of the quests from 60-65 are a bit "go kill 10 space goats" but the game is great.

To be honest the best way to stop playing is. well for me was to play on a private server and do all the fun stuff you wanted to do. For example; I got the best gear in the game and went around killing eveythin, then when I came back to the real game I was just board of it and stopped playing. I started again with the new expansion, joined a private server and it all started again.

@OblivionLamm I think its when they play for more than a 24 hour period, then they decide to finally stand up, the second they do, they end up collapsing. Either due to fainting, or their legs forgetting how to work.
