  • The Pigeon was all like "lifes great" and the Falcon was all like "BAM!!!! Reality just hit you!"

  • Called a falcon dive-bomb newbs.

  • Sie sollten auf Deutsch kommentieren

  • Peregrine falcons are pretty much the most badass bird ever! lol

  • @refonbass

haha yup.but i can go faster on my drag bike than they can dive. :(

  • @NMPros But you're the one who has to MAKE something to go faster than it. . Falcon wins.

  • @xturmenate hey i know. I wish i had one. but unless i am rich and have someone to care for it, thats a dream

  • @refonbass Not as badass as the goshawk though...

  • pigeon rock thay were part of wold war 1 and 2 look chr ami up on wikepeder and show pigeons on google images

    pigeons rock !

  • They need to get some of these falcons in London.

  • Muttley was going to do it, but they were out of medals.

  • there was a debate in melbourne a few years ago, some people thought it might be a good idea to bring in some falcons to help lower the increasing population of melbournes little mascot (the diseased pigeon). of couse it never went a head...but the debate has re-apeared, but this time with owls instead. either way, pigeons are just as bad as crows (always crapping everywhere, and getting into the rubish bins)

  • @comanchio1976

its related to the cracked article that redirected me here, it talked about how german spy pigeons were intercepted by british falcons

  • Not a hawk

  • Pigeons are vermin... "rats with wings" is what we call them in the UK. Good riddance to each one killed by a hawk.

  • pure bullshit, killing all the racing pigeons, yeah they are nice birds, but there is too many these days, I mean if they can fend for themselves, then why RSPB making special nest sites and giving them food, should be able too get food for themselves, hope someone brings in eagle owl on you rspb bitch asses

  • just to let you guys know i've seen hawks dive bomb/stoop like peregrine falcons so these falcons arent the only bird of prey capable of going fast

  • i like it

    :)

  • i like it

    :)

  • Winning

  • Wow it's head just explodes at 0:32

  • isnt it ironic that the narrator is german?

  • rammstein!

  • I'd like to point out that pigeons and doves are the same.

    Pigeon=rock dove

  • @Quionic7

    thx for the explanation.

Dove has of course the same meaning as pigeon..i changed the topic

  • @Quionic7 The one that is in the city are rock doves but racing pigeon is for racing there not just rock doves Get your facts right dude :D

  • FALCON PAWNCH! And a tasty meal.

  • There should be peregrine falcons in the big cities to get rid of those flying rats. The city skies would also look quite awesome.

  • "Oh, this was your pigeon? Hawkward."

  • Cracked.

  • LIKE A BULLET

  • Peregrine falcons rock, the king of birds! Or queen!

  • Rock Doves come in two color phases. Blue Check, and Blue Bar.

  • IT'S A DISGRACE!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • ハヤブサ Peregrine Falcon vol.3

  • beautiful footage, thank you for sharing!

  • 'pigeon' and 'dove' both refer to the same family of birds, people usually call the smaller ones 'doves' and the bigger ones 'pigeons', but there isnt a real definition for either name.

  • @r0llskyay0 yeah u true!

  • @r0llskyay0 dove is the name given in the bible, it sounds less harsh.

    But there the same thing.

  • This is hands down the best bird of prey video I've watched on YouTube! Excellent work and thank you :)

  • nice

  • @kurikost The rock dove is the ancestor of the feral pigeon.

The wood pigeon is also known as the ring dove.

Pigeon/dove? If you're not being specific, call it what you want!

  • i heard that when a peregrine falcon hits a pigeon it has so much momentum that it not the pigeons head off

  • Thanks for posting this! Falcons are my favorite birds, and this was stunning to watch! :-)

  • Can any Germans tell me where the narrator's accent is from?

  • So you RSPB people, can you tell me why we see more peregrine now than Ravens? Why are the songbirds and some shore birds in decline while more peregrines get released? There needs to be a balance again. Earth worms and bees are more important to the earth, how much money have you raised to save them? Same kind of science that put beavers back in Scotland. Perhaps Manchester needs a pack of wolves too.

  • Peregrines arent being released in the Uk they are succeeding on their own, they will find their balance when they population reaches maximum carrying capacity. As a side note the peregrine eating the pigeon at the end was a captive bird I worked with back in the early 90's a fair portion of the peregrine flying footage in the documentary was with trained birds.

  • @bouvier0... Are you stupid or just another example of someone with a failed education?

  • @bouvier0

Don't be silly, Falcons do not even hunt Ravens (they're too big).

There is simply not enough money for conservation efforts on every species. Conservationists have to make decisions about which species are in the most need of help. Peregrines lost much of their territory in the 1960-70s when DDT usage decimated the population. Reintroduction efforts are very successful and cost effective because of the large number of prey birds and reduced DDT usage in Europe and the USA.

  • @vitrael

Don't be silly, loss of habitat. Peregrines nest on the side of cliffs, not many towns been built on the side of cliffs for the last hundred years. Putting nest sites on the side of buildings is upsetting the balance. More peregrines = fewer songbirds = more flying insects, enjoy!

  • @bouvier0 Thing is mate, you just don't know what you're talking about. Peregrines are living in cities without being given nest sites "on the sides of buildings".

Go on, tell us magpies are devil birds and give us all a laugh!

  • How i can protect my pigeons from falcons or hawks?

  • Racing pigeons I presume?

    You can't.

  • nop they are turkish tumbler, evrey body say keep them in side but they have fly and make exercise u know:) some say make noise when the falcon come, some say put a fulute on pigeons cuse falcon are scarey from fulute.. anyway thanx!

  • Errm, crows. That is they best way to scare off falcons. Crows/ravens/rooks mob falcons and birds of prey..

But this means rearing some crows... lol

  • a pigeon is a rock dove :) so same thing

  • doves are pigeons, they're basically the same thing, so no harm done!

  • 00:29 imminent death .. damn it gives me the goosebumps, what a raw power.

  • im a member of the RSPB

  • i am an rspb volunteer who watches over the peregrins in manchester city centre

  • @fastatlearninstuff

hey your nothing but a wanker, enjoy your peregrine while they last.

  • @anth94hewy *You're

  • @fastatlearninstuff

don't really care how I write it to be honest, sick of losing my pigeons to peregrine, fair enough it's nature but if so they should be able to fend for themselves without being watched over, there just seems too many sparrowhawks and peregrine now, last year 3 peregrine attacked and killed 14 of my neighbours pigeons within few minutes

  • lol!

    thanx greta vid!

  • looks like a feral pigeon to me, and they're bastards-so good on the falcon!

  • @snipaddict Feral pigeon? Just for the record, it's a Rock dove. Everyone just calls them pigeons though.

  • Comment removed

  • @cody3580 Just for the record: it is actually a Rock Pigeon(Columba livia), which is exactly the same species as domestic pigeon. I have not heard anybody call domestic pigeons for doves(which are in pigeon family anyway)

  • yup a pigeon is a type of dove a rock dove for exact

  • i studied peregrine falcon(falco peregrinus)

in my class there crazy LATIN birds

  • SORRY I MEAN CRAZY BIRDS

  • he is a bad asss bird

  • The common name of rock dove was changed to rock pigeon a few years ago.

  • falcon vs pigeons

  • pigeon = rock dove

  • Is a pigeon a type of dove? If not, that's a pigeon that the Peregrine caught...

  • Generally they label pigeons as the bigger species and doves smaller all within the same family.
