Tsunami got its name from Japan means big wave for it was first hit there.

Just want to share a few facts here:

1. Port Alberni, and other parts of Vancouver Island were hit by a tsunami on March 28, 1964, the tsunami footage is not fake

2. Port Alberni is in Canada, not the States

3. Nobody died because the first wave to hit Port didn't do much damage and gave people warning that they had to get to higher ground, the second wave did all the damage

4. As of 2009, Port is no longer the "worst place to live" :)

to start with lumber jacks dumb their loggs into he water to get them another distribution place as they do in these places , so first few secs is nothing strange, its justa ghost town of a once blooming city now deserted & raided , if a tsunami had have hit you prolly see way more mud around here , but thx for showing , almost forgot how terrible boring that place in amarica could be , oh and fuck the people who always say OH MY GOD !!

Considering that "Port Alberni" has now been" voted two years in a row, the worst city in Canada to live" maybe it would have been better off staying under water. Sorry, but reality can sometimes be harsh.

I grew up in Port alberni and i have never seen so much changes of weather however Port Alberni was one place I can truely call home

I saw the old news footage on this. Man, that's crazy. I mean this video (thanks for posting by the way!) shows the damage, but it's truly a miracle that no one died, thank GOD!

Actually, supposedly the Tsunami was caused BY the 1964 Alaska Earthquake.
