  • Love the dancing!!!

  • Still love the song and the performance.

  • This is a lip sych.

  • This is a real churner. Love it!

  • Roland and Curt are still at their best after 30+ years.

  • The fabulous songs like this are truly valuable. Orzabal/Stanley co-works are quite intense and even industrial to a certain extent.. And that's very enthralling about their works! A solid and still humane song stands forever.

  • tear for fears 1 of the most under rated bands of all time those guys could jam an wake up any crowd...

  • wow ian stanley on guitar...hes the keyboardist...so talented ian..all of them..roland can surely dance..his best dance was in the original mad world video..he can surely vogue

  • the other two guys were part of the success of tff,how much i dont know.the early keyboard and dual guitar sound did make me wonder who wrote and played which.the end result is still fantastic.

  • is it really their voices live ? o.O

  • Playback....???

  • lol, he must be lip syncing cause his mouth isnt even near the microphone....and it sounds EXACTLY like the record lol

  • i love how OLD it was that they had to put the title of the song up in the middle of the vid hehe ;) i miss the old days!

  • i love this song fuck music in the 80s was soo dope haha

  • I like this a lot but I didn't know Roland was lip syncing

  • Roland isn't trying to hide it is a lipsinc performance. And he is certainly making the best of it. You gotta do what you gotta do to put up a show and he does it so well, extraordinarily well.

  • I was but a school girl and hopelessly crushing on Mr Smith. But you know what? I still have that same crush on him all of thses years later and I still don't know how to express it very well.

  • playback rolando lindo nessa musica!, muito raro alguem cantar assim perfeitamente

  • i saw them live in vancouver canada in 1983 or 04 can't remember but they were GREAT

  • This was the first ever song of TFF that i heard growing up. This is a gem! Not so much video on this one, though.

  • My dear angry one, take some time and check their live performances throughout their career so you will see how wonderful they are live and understand that sometimes for one reason or another great musicians need to lip sync to fulfill contractrual obligations. Peace to you!!!

  • Can you say something else as comment ,or whatever, without to mention "fucking"?!?A very fine niveau,indeed...:-(((

  • the fact that his guitar is not plugged in is a bit of a givaway

  • Either they are VERY good live, or this is TOTAL LIP SYNC...sorry, but it sounds identical to the studio version I have on vinyl.....other than a bit of echo and reverb...oh, well.

  • They ARE VERY good live, but this is definitely lip-sync.

  • Actually .... when I went to see them live I was standing there thinking omg they sounds so great ... now you got me wondering ... hmmm ! but I loved every minute of it !

  • Hey, there's nothing wrong with seeing them live, but to pay to watch lip-sync, I have a problem. I saw Janet Jackson years ago (Black Cat), and she lip-synced. When she went "live" with "hold on to me" (I think that was the name of the song), she BOMBED. FLATS for the first couple of measures, and finally they got the tape running...pissed me off.

  • They definitely play live when they do a concert. This was just a TV thing years ago and they lip-synched. Roland is very in to having all the reverbs and mix settings perfect for their live shows, but they are always playing for real. He's an amazing singer, sometimes it seems to good, but it's legit. They might use a few backing tracks, but it's 95% live, unlike this clip, which is 100% the original album track.

  • I agree really ... makes you wonder how many of the top musicians in the charts really have a legitimate voices! .... not that many I don't think.

  • Does Ian Stanley play guitar?

  • I know; no band can produce a live sound exactly like it is on the record, especially on such a heavily produced track

  • Curt on rhythm guitar, all for appearances I am sure but cool!

  • love it

  • Oh Mr Orzabal, and Mr Smith, why do you look so DAMNED HAWT here?

  • Yeah I'm so happy that Roland and Curt were able to work things out.

  • Amazing vid. Everybody seems to be enjoying and dancing. ;*

  • i luv both of roland and curt damn all their songs are hoooooooooot!!and we can`t ignore any

    song

  • I Get SOOOOOOOOOO Mad When They Lip Sync!!!!!!! I Still Like Roland, Though.

  • too bad it's playback

  • Roland is soooo Talented! Luv the way he sings & moves! He looks so cool & cute in the vid.

  • Roland is amazing!!!

  • Curt and Roland are so hot in this video!!!!!

  • Roland is so sexy and his voice kicks ass

  • I think he's amazing! I'm completely obsessed with him when he's this age. Yes, in his 20's he looked superb!

  • It is a giveaway because it's too perfect to be live. But Roland looks amazingly convincing that it is actually a live version, though, even when it isn't. Plus, Roland and Curt look smashing, especially my darling Roland!

  • but it would sound better if ,a 16 year old girl dating two 46 year old guys,

    Curt and Roland...hehehe

  • this proves that 80's music were so meaningful...ahhhmm is curt gay?

    iknow he's not,we're dating...hahahahaha!!!

  • Ur dating Curt Smith yeah haha THAT would be cool lol! GREAT SONG!!

  • we're not..i'm just joking...i'm just 16 .

    hehehe

  • I know, it'd be cool if you were though haha! Hmmm a 16 year old dating a 46 year old, now THAT would be interesting LOL!!

  • if i would have to date a 46 year old guy that would be Roland...he's a genius!!!

  • Haha LOL me too probably!

  • i know i saw the video of this one...not that of scootability..the other one...

  • we can..we can work it out..GREAT!!

  • it sounds just like the studio version. i bet they aren't really playing it.. they are lip synching to their studio version.. very awesome though

  • Definitely a lip-sync. The guy on the Tele playing when there's no guitar sound on the song is a dead giveaway, not to mention it's way too perfect for a live version.
