I Love my American automobiles! I grew up with the biggest, most luxurious American cars ever built. And quality models as well. Cadillacs, Buicks, Oldsmobile, Lincoln, Mercury, & Chrysler. Growing up in the 70's and 80's i marveled at some of the most beautiful cars ever made and i would never hate American automobiles. Theres a BMW repair shop in my neighborhood it's called "The Bimmer Shop" and it's always PACKED!
I was lucky to get to drive some great cars in my high school days (late 80's). Many big 70's cars were around and very cheap to buy if you werent dirt poor like so many of us were. As an American, I think it is sad that we no longer create such beautiful machines. I respect Japanese and German manufacturers, but my heart belongs to Detroit. I love my Mark V and Continental Town Car, both 79 models. We are a dying breed.
@GayUOPXBoy Very strange that american people prefer asian cars.... you were able to build so glamourous , confortable, sexy cars..Here in Europe , germans make very good quality cars but so boring , nothing to do with the charm of a Amc Pacer or Matador, a Buick Electra, a Dodge Royal Monaco ...Ok i know, it's the past...I'm so sad that Americans have lost their passion for automobile. We miss you.
I often wondered why Sue Ellen had to drive the grocery-getter, but after seeing the wagon take the corner like that, now I know that car is as badass as she is!
that station wagon is a tank.the Mark V is waaaay cool.i miss the old-school Lincolns.they don't make them like they used to.and forget about that new garbage:MKZ,MKS all of which are front-wheel drive spinoff turds that come directly from Mazda, and Ford.
man,the Mark V looked good with the steam flowing from the duals.the video was cool,up until Sue Ellen rode up in that awful-looking Mercury Station wagon.
Well,I guess I'm your opposite, then;I always thought the V was a chintzy looking version of the IV and that the Colony Parks you think look so awfull are the finest stationwagons ever made.

My mom had that model wagon when I was a kid, from 1985 to 1988.
