  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! THIS IS AMAZING

  • amazing!!!!

  • Your vibrato isnt steady, it knocks off the sound. and i dont think it starts up bow

  • Thank you very much !

My son is at the same age as you, he's starting to play this " La Folia ". Your vedio is great for me to encourage him.

I will be overjoy, if my son could play as good as you.

  • U/She plays a bit slow after all the 16th notes, and a bit fast at the first chord section, and i personally play with more sticatto, but otherwise AMAZING.

  • WO you play well!!! good job! I'm working on the same piece right now, and you really helped me with the rhythm in some places. thanx so much!

  • It is the Vivaldi version or Corelli version?

  • I'm guessing that she is playing from Suzuki book 6 so it would be the Corelli version. And the spell checker for you tube comments sucks

  • La Follia not Folia

  • No, the Suzuki version, which is played here, is spelled 'Folia'.

  • Per chiarezza.

In italiano Folia non esiste. Se pronunci:

    Fō-lì-ā è simile a Follia

    mentre se pronunci:

Fō-lià è simile a Foglia, ma è un latinismo che non si usa più.

  • You're very good at the violin!

  • god that was beautiful,

i wish i could play that exactly like her.

im 17 and i cant play it as amazing as she can.

    <3

  • gr8 job ramya!!!!!! all the best!!! - ur cuz.. srinidhi

  • Great job!! :)

  • Quite amazing! I'm learning this piece on the cello, so I know how difficult it gets. You really put spirit into it!

  • good, i like your violin!!

  • is this from the suzuki book?

  • I really liked it! :)

  • you shouldn't be using the same part of your bow the whole time, it really helps on dinamics if you use the right parts of the bow, when it's forte you need to be in the lower half of it and when there are the sixteenth notes use your tip it will help you keep tempo and play them cleaner

  • Pretty nice technique.

  • bravo.

  • hell

I'm learning this play right now... Not Sure If I'll ever manage...

Ah Well. At least I'll try...

  • from measure 49, you should have your bow a little closer to the frog. but that was really good =] i'm using this performance as a reference.

  • I congratulate you on your command of this difficult piece.... wonderful playing and I wish you success for the future. :) ~Paul~

  • bravo

  • Dogclover, you're right. You should be able to be play up to the 5th position at least and have lots of work with vibrato and excersises. My opinion: If you play this piece when you can only play 1st and 3rd position, it can ruin your teqnique. =]

  • very good job i realy lke your style you seams to be in conect with the piece,i'm try to play't and i enjoy to hear't from you,i'm egyptian by the way

  • Oh my god, good job girl . Tres bien

  • Kewl!! I am learning this piece and I am 11.

    I am so fascinated.

    I played violin for 9month.

How many years did you play?

  • I don't recommend this piece to someone who's only been playing for 9 months.. but it's your choice

  • Well, my teacher made me play that piece, and I really like to try hard pieces. I have no idea why people dislike my comment... I am just saying that she is very good.

  • All we're saying is that La Folia is a difficult piece to play really well involving weird chords, advanced techniques, and other positions besides 1st. I don't know about you but during my first 9 months of playing I played in 1st position

  • Thanks though. I am on suzuki No.4 but I am playing this piece because, my teacher taught me a lot of things!!!

  • im learning this piece secretly because my teacher wants it in order.. so jumping but La Folia is one heck of a piece!! LOVE IT!! im finishing 3rd mov of vivaldi in no. 5. only 4more pieces to go but there are easy so.. you know.. I have been playing 12 years of experience and im only 15. I should practice more but i get tired and stuff. I dont like to rush to soon so i take it calmly.

  • try using your bow-flex more as you will not have rigid double stops. try to rosin up your bow and lastly feel the mood changes. you must feel the dramatics that the piece entails...LA FOLIA!!

    overall great interpretation.

  • Fabulous! Is the teacher beside you Japanese? Because I'm fantasized. (I'm japanese..)

    Wow..

I like how your sound echoes. That shows your violin 'likes' you. That's what I always think anyway. Great job, from my experience of playing the violin.

  • I'm 14 and i'm learning it. This is suuper good! Irishgirl no one cares if you are only 12 but you.

  • Great

I'm learning this song and my teacher is telling me I am great at it. And I'm only 12

  • ummm congratulations? age doesn't matter in the musical world. i know some adults who can't play as well as some ten year olds.

  • Nice. I'm learning it, and I'm 12. But I can't get my vibrado right - it won't give it your kind of sound. And btw, where do you get the piano accompaniment sheet music?

  • im 15 & im learning this. & i SUCK.

lol wow, im really bad. ur amazing!

  • Just wonder, are you really supposed to start the piece with an up bow? I was taught with a down bow.

BTW really liked your tone and trills.

    Work on the vibrato.

    Well done.

  • Excellent work Ramya. All of us enjoyed the video! Keep more coming! Love Jayanthi Athai

  • WOW.

im also learning this piece, and im 13.

my teacher basically told me to start at measure 97 and just figure it out, and i've been having a really hard time.

Listening to it REALLLY helps though =)

    Thanx!

  • wow measure 97 is where it starts to get difficult. i hope you did well =]

  • Hi Ramya,

Excellent - Vaibhav dropped all his toys and listened keenly.

  • Ramya - Excellent work!!! Keep it up. :)

  • Excellent! Destined for greatness

  • Great stuff Ramya. Keep it up.

  • This is truly awesome. Totally amazing Ramya - Vidhya

  • Wow, Ramya, that is a scintillating rendition! I am so proud of you. Big Hugs, Padmashree.
