  • @ThelyCast God loves us so muuuch!!! Take a minute to listen to His love letter to us.

Happy sabbath to you all His children. :-)

  • Lovely!

  • I love Jesus Christ. Forever!

  • All my days are written in his book....God is my father and I am his child!!!!!

  • Barf o rama

  • This did change my life when I listened to it over a year ago it brought me closer to my king and savior

  • If you read the comments you will see the sheer hatred towards theological disagreements . Religion / religiosity breeds intense hatred towards all outsiders .Its not love hugs and teddy bears its the desire to smite all of differing opinions . The biggest threat to the continuation of civilization is war motivated by religious hate. There is nothing as divisive and hate generating than religiosity. The exact opposite of what these religions preach.

  • this is wat i love to hear about god.and not the angry sprirt ppl make him seem like. i love god and i truly believe in him with all my heart.this is heart warming. i wish i could be perfect for him. i love yu jesus

  • I'm a 22 year old male and a suffer of anxiety but ever since I started listening to this every night I'm starting to get better and I just want to thank God for whoever made this video it's awesome

  • @npmarti22 If you aren't born again yet could I give you a message with links on how to become born again, it is detailed but it explains it carefully

  • I'm so glad to see people commenting about Gods amazing love instead of saying that's only Hurt others he's done so much for me and I can't begin to imagine how much he really loves us

  • "My walk with God is through a mine field (17 yrs of it to be exact). Your video is very touching however, it probably won't change my circumstances (and please don't say it's a faith thing or that He'll give me the strength to endure the mine field). I've been a born again believer since '77 so don't go there. I've resolved that when He gets tired of beating me up-then will the pain stop."

  • Your video inspired me to read my bible tonight and look up the verses of my favorite things He said. That led me to pray for the first time in months. This video changed my night and ended a fight I was having. Thank you for showing God's love so beautifully.

  • @heyyitsslaurenn He said in the bible, that it is Ok to beat your slave to death, but that it is an abomination to eat shelfish

  • God is soooo amazing!!!

I cant wait to get to heaven to auctually meet him and see all the people i love and miss. If you arent saved i recommend you to for God. Its the only way to heaven. amen to that.

  • I believe in reincarnation. My Mom always said to me; "If there wasn't re-incarnation, then why do we have so much Déja Vu at the beginning of our lives up until our 30's".

Plus I also believe we create our own "Heaven" & "Hells" here on earth & when we die we are reincarnated to correct past mistakes in this life.

That's just my opinion. I like your idea of Christianity though. I'm not judgmental, bigoted, hypocritical & I try my best not to take the Lord's name in vain.

    David

  • @esacnitsuj1 Yeah i was to like that, i was always hoping that when i am Die i live again here in this sinful world.

But that was Change when i read the Bible..

For the Bible says "it is Better than a Living Dog Than a Dead Lion" what is that means?

it means that When you Die we are totally not existed.

Here also Bible says "Do with all your might for in Death you shall know nothing nor wisdom, nor loving nor envy, and feelings everything are gone" it means that Totally unconscious...

  • @juliaheartz

can you tell me the Bible references these quotes are from?

  • @KnittingPasta they are written on the screen as he says them

  • very moving...scince i have found christ i have never felt so happy and loved in all my life..

  • if we are 'made in God's image',

God must be a pretty ugly animal

    compared with, say, a Sloth.

and if we are the best that God

    could produce, God help Her!

(I guess he son didn't so much die

as throw away the will to live...)

  • dude seriously you must be living with no cause or purpose because with out him everything ends up that way .Thats why only the hopeless, depressed or unsaved talk of such things. Thats why without surrending your whole self spirit, soul and body everything ends up lifeless and bleak. I know cause Ive been there once to many times. But if your saved and still wilingl to be conford into His immage theres always a purepose not just to live but to overcome this world and everything in it.

  • @ppcjjdm i live with great cause & purpose: i work as a veterinarian's assistant at the local animal shelter and i don't need to believe in fairytales or some great reward in the afterlife to continue doing so.

the bible as we see it today has been rewritten so many thousands of times over the centuries. i suppose if one wished to comprehend it in it's deepest meaning, one would need be thoroughly literate in Hebrew and search out the original texts unaltered by sickos like King James, etc.

  • @erotickatana I agree, it is hard being a true blue christian and all that it purtains. I also agree that they meaning King James and ect... should never have changed the wording of the original of Gods Holy word. Thats why all diffrent appionions are hard to meet on the same ground. Being we all are brought up from diffrent back grounds, beliefes, life style, mind sets... the only way enyone deeply relates now is by simular connection. Which is one of lifes greatest sorrows or possible joys

  • @ppcjjdm Listen to yourself! True blue? You're deluded! If Erotic Katana PMs me, one day HE/SHE will be teaching YOU!

Or did God really set a bear on some kids as your Idol suggests?

Ha! Count yourself amongst the very lowest of the Pharisees.

  • @RyanTheChristian not a matter of love or hate or forgetfulness ... but more a matter of absolute neglect made stone.

  • @erotickatana There's wisdom in the Bible, Erotic. I'm still on a life-long journey trying to find and identify it so I don't yet have a full picture. But if I say to you:

--Money is a fair exchange for a girl's virginity (be it cajoled or raped out of her).

--Calling a man "baldy" is a crime worthy of being mauled by a possessed bear.

--Two men who love each other are worthy of stoning.

--God likes the smell of burning animal so much it makes up for a Jew being evil.

    What does your heart say?

  • @erotickatana And the Big One.

--Be a naughty boy and daddy will set fire to you. No, not for just a few seconds, or even minutes. Not hours nor even days. Daddy will set fire to you and when it looks like it's going out he's going to pour gasoline all over you. And again, and again, and again.

If your heart finds that lot repulsive, then your heart works just fine. In fact I'd call you a zombie if it didn't. I'd call you a Bible-worshipper. But no. You're on the right track, mate.

  • @erotickatana Erotic, you make a monumental point which Captain Righteous over there needs to consider: The Bible (or at least a lot of it) is CORRUPT. And yes, I am a Christian, and yes I DO love God my Father.

But these Christian zombies don't understand. YOU, Erotic Katana, DO understand and believe it or not, as much as you probably despise the idea, you'd actually make a better servant of God than these fools.

YOUR HEART WORKS GREAT! Use it to understand the Bible! PM if you need guidance

  • @RyanTheChristian three books i recommend reading are Herman Hesse's "Siddhartha" and "Demian" + Fernando Pessoa's "Book of Disquiet." i've been going off and on with the bible now for more than a month & honestly it just irritates the fuck out of me. it's artless. at this point i find the two choices of atheism or theism equally appalling. there needs to be a third: reverse-atheism - which equates to a vibrant belief in god with a simultaneous belief that god no longer believes in us.

  • @erotickatana Haha! By just saying what you just said, you're ALREADY in the third way! You're wiser than ALL atheists and all theists RIGHT NOW as we speak. I almost wish I could watch you on your path, Erotic. Best of luck to ya! Would love to link up with you via Facebook or something.

  • Hey Ryan and Tommmy look at what Rozzy46 and Stacy Allie Joe have done they do not look at the wrongs of others but are thanking God and telling him how mauch they love them but all that you guys can do is cuss each other out and argue!!! Why do you argue with a fool? When you do you look and act just like him!! Show him the love of Jesus Chrsist not your anger nor your opion!!! Pluse guys the Word of God says PRIDE COMES BEFORE A FALL!! I love you my brothers!! god bless1

  • Thank you Lord for your love and life... Every day is a blessing to wake up knowing You love me... Praise the Lord!!!! :)

  • I love this video because it tells me that God created me and it wasnt a mistake. I was having a hard time today and I was mad at myself and putting myself down, I prayed for God to show me or tell me how much he loves me and is he really there. But what more can tell you than the words of God himself, Gods love letter The Bible.

  • I feel sorry for all of you who mock God. You must live a very loney and misable life.

Maybe someone made this but it did come from the bible. I know there is a Father in heaven. He is good. He gives us freedom of choice. There is a devil and he rules in hearts here on earth. Just listen to your self's.

  • That was a Beautiful Video, God Bless

  • lol true words from the guy who advocates rape, slavery, ethnic clensing, animal and human sacrifice, OH and the guy who will send you to an eternal lake of fire for all eternity for not believing in him due to an extreme lack of scientific evidence... Oh and one more thing, this "love letter" that he gave to humanity was written by premative humans, that would label us gods if they saw the way we live today... Ooops I almost forgot, GOD BLESS

    :D

  • Awesome Post! Whoever you are GOD BLESS YOU!

  • God created polio, science cured it. God created small-pox, science cured it. God created leprosy, science cured it. God created 2 million illnesses, virusses, parasites, science found cures for many. God created infertility, science created in-vitro, and an estimated 15 million lives. God`s lifespan was 45 years, science doubled it. 100.000 innocent children died a horrible death, beneath the rubble of their houses in Haiti. The allmighty didn``t lift a finger to help. Glory to god !!!

  • @lizazoon Grow up. You are too bitterly biased against God to understand things. Til that changes, shut up.

  • @RyanTheChristian It`s easier to blabber bullshit, then to refute an argument. Grow-up.

  • @lizazoon I guess that's what you're doing here, gobshite.

  • @RyanTheChristian It's you that needs to grow up and start understanding things. The evidence of God (Assuming he exists) does not love you, or care about you, or just down right, looks down on you, is not hidden in some cryptic wording in the Bible, it's there in plain sight that God isn't all that loving and/or all that caring for us. Until you understand (or at least read the bible yourself) it's you that needs to shut up

  • @Tommy9834 Why are you getting so riled up?

  • @RyanTheChristian Ryan are you not listening to your self!! You say you have read the whole bible yet right in front me another brother you call this guy who does not know god trash!! Christ lived his love out for ALL OF US not just you but you cuss! There is no different from a christian that goes to church but still disobeys to him to does not know Chrst. You and me must stop knowing God but obey him!!! Just read your posts.

  • @ppcjjdm I do obey God. And unlike you Bible-bashing fucking Pharisees, I REALLY obey him. Shit! You might as well go back to burnt offerings! You have no idea who and what God is. You think worshipping the Bible and pretending it's protected by magical forcefields is obeying God? Then contact me in private and let me correct your understanding.

Then, my friend, you will know why I am the way I am.

Join me down the rabbit hole, Alice? Or is the comfort of Bible-idolatry to be your damnation?

  • @lizazoon Forgive me but humans fucking animals probably "created" all those diseases. Dirty humans, not God. You die of cancer, that's the shit you've been putting into your body for your whole life. Don't blame God. You choose to treat your body like nicotine filter. God created it to be your own private temple and you smoke drugs and blame your cough on the Almighty.

Indeed, glory to God, who gave us Satan as his proof, the beast with whom you fornicate. Well good luck to ya.

  • @RyanTheChristian This nonsense is too pianful to read, I will not argue on kindergarten level.. Bye have a good life.

  • @lizazoon Can't handle it when your childish points are refuted, eh?

Fair enough. So long and good luck.

  • @RyanTheChristian Ah yes, like the typical Christian. When shit is good, "PRAISE GOD!!! LOVE GOD!!...it's only with God's blessings that you enjoy these good things in life." But when shit hits the fan, Christians are always first to say "It's your own fault that these bad things are happening, not God"

  • @Tommy9834 Praise God and love God, yes. Because he's directly responsible for all the good things that happen? No! That's YOUR misconception.

But it's true. God didn't create nukes or AIDS or crack. We did.

  • @RyanTheChristian My point exactly, God didn't make all the good in the world, if any, but religious people want to steal all the credit that should go to man and give it to God, but when man fucks up, religious people are quick to remind you that it's man, not God, who fucked up there.

  • @Tommy9834 Not all religious people, Tommy. I'm religious and you didn't describe MY attitude to God, just your view of most Christians. Truth is, every Christian is different & sees Christianity and God differently.

Otherwise I can claim stupid shit like "all atheists believe in the Big Bang" or "all atheists want to fuck Dawkins mum, they love him so much".

And God SHOULD get some of the credit, especially where Christian charities are concerned. Even if he doesn't exist, he gets shit done.

  • @RyanTheChristian How does that prove God should get any credit, those charities are ran by moral men and women. God deserves NO credit for the actions of man.

  • @Tommy9834 Yes, even if God doesn't exist, he still takes credit for MOTIVATING these people. Even if he doesn't exist, people - believing he does - STILL go to Islam and preach the Gospel in the face of death. STILL people spend their lives serving others, trying to feed villages in Africa and S. America and India and fuck knows where else.

If these people weren't instructed by God through the Bible, they wouldn't do it. A handful might, but not many.

  • @RyanTheChristian Oh so he gets credit for motivating. Just like when a football team scores a touchdown, we give credit to the cheerleaders for motivating.

  • @Tommy9834 At least partially.

  • @Tommy9834 can you pls stop cussing there are alot of other words that arent so discussting you both could use. its real demeening on u not realy th other person. and wht r u both trying to be right about its obviouse u both r confused alittle. i know i can realate to th both of u ( which is scarry i know but im going to be truthful) just addmitting it is grows. but to over come u must face so grows stuff and distressing problems. any way i spoke my peace.

  • @ppcjjdm They're just words, viper!

  • Religious nuts say God loves you cause he sent his only child to die for us, so he can forgive us for our sins. Isn't the guy who forgives our sin God? And he's all powerful ain't he? So that means he had the power to forgive us for our sins, whether or not he sacrificed his only son, but he chose to. And this proves he loves us? It more like proves he's a shitty father, and the Bible proves he's also a shitty ruler, and an egoistical douchbag.

  • @Tommy9834 look at the definition of love in the bible. Then have a look at god`s.attributes in the Old-Testament and you will see that god, if he exists, cannot be loving.

  • @lizazoon "So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children. "This is what you are to do," they said. "Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin." Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan."

    Judges 21:10-12

  • @Tommy9834 Say that when he's turning his back on you for ever. Imagine life without all the good bits and just the shitty bits. That's hell, my friend. Forget fiery pits. You get to stay here and live with other shitty bastards at the behest of Satan, the most horrible fucker you'll ever meet.

Unless of course I'm wrong, in which case you have nothing to worry about. But be sure, Tommy. Don't just take the words of prejudiced atheists who were forced to church as kids.

    Look for yourself.

  • @RyanTheChristian I have looked and thought for myself. The question is, have you? Or are you just swallowing the words of the church and the common conception of God without thinking for yourself? The fact is, 9 out of 10 Christians don't read the Bible, according to a Christian website, so there is a 9 out of 10 chance that it is you who's just taking the words of other Christians, cause if you had read the Bible, you'd question Christianity too.

  • @Tommy9834 I understand what you're saying Tommy and I agree about the majority (no, the vast majority) of Christians being unthinking, Church-led zombies (which, according to the Bible is okay with God by the way).

But I can assure you that I spend most of my life as hard an atheist as you are, until something very personal happened to me and I embraced Jesus. Since then, I have lost my belief, got it back, lost it, got it back and I have read all the books I can in my search for the truth.

  • @RyanTheChristian Why do you automatically connect that personal event to Jesus. I can probably guarantee you it was not really spiritual in anyway, at most, it was probably luck or coincidence. Either way, God probably don't deserve any credit for whatever it is that happened.

  • @Tommy9834 I connect it to Jesus because it was Jesus who revealed himself to me. You can't guarantee diddlyshit, Tommy. Your opinions are nothing more than your opinions and if you want to throw a real argument at me, an argument that you feel refutes God and which you base your worldview on, then please do. I will read it, think about it and discuss it, preferably in private, where there isn't a 500 letter limit.

Otherwise, let's just agree to disagree.

  • @RyanTheChristian And you can't guarantee that it was Jesus, but most likely it was a trick of the mind, a form of delusion that your mind, or brain, played on you, just like "Near-Death-Experiences".

  • @Tommy9834 Yeah, okay Cowboy. Dawkins explained that to me in a book called The God Delusion a lot more succinctly than that. And that remains the best argument against God.

But is it reasonable to expect someone to whom these "delusions" mean so much to abandon them and voluntarily make themselves miserable as fuck?

No. No is the answer. Freedom of choice. Freedom to pursue happiness. Fuck you and your attempted dominion over my life. Fuck you.

  • @RyanTheChristian FORGIVE AS I HAVE FORGIVEN YOU. IF YOU WILL NOT I WILL FORGIVE YOU!!! LET NOT ONE PERVERSE THING COME OUT OF THY MOUTH!!! If we call our selves chrsitians and cuss, fight, do not forgive and do not love then we are more worse in the wrong then they who do not know God. Those that do not know god are blinded so we that have had our eyes opened by Jesus need to show Jesus to others! LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU AND HAVE GIVEN MY LIFE FOR YOU!!!

  • @ppcjjdm What we have here is YOU, someone who loves the Bible with his heart, soul, mind and spirit - and ME, who loves God. Repent of your horrible pride, my fellow bastard, and then the plank will be out of your eye enough for you to see the speck in mine. I've read the Bible, the entire Bible, page-by-page, line by line, many times. But your pride in your own Bible study has made your relationship WITH IT idolatrous!

And now, having read my words, will you learn from them?

    Fat chance.

  • @RyanTheChristian IF YOU CAN NOT LOVE HIM WHO YOU CAN NOT SEE THEN HOW CAN YOU LOVE THE FATHER WHO YOU CAN NOT SEE! God commaned us to love one another!! he did not say love the blacks only, the whites, the asians. He said love one another!! So Ryan be carefull how you talk to a person who does not know christ! Show him Christ! Do not argue!! This makes him draw away from Christ. Give him scriptures and just encourage him to ask Jesus in his heart. Only Jesus can change anybody !

  • @ppcjjdm You preach it, but you also display great flaws of your own, so forgive me but I will not be paying much attention to your out-of-the-book ramblings. You may have read the Bible, but DO YOU UNDERSTAND that quoting it but not LIVING IT is what Jesus came to accuse the PHARISEES of? Do you not count yourself amongst the faithless Jews? I do. That's what you are. A viper, a Pharisee, a hypocrite!

Do you deny this accusation? Do you count yourself amongst the righteous? Pah! Pah to you!

  • @Tommy9834 I cannot stand the Church and my view of God is entirely unique and based on science and logic.

I have read the Bible many times and in various translations because I am aware of the translation issues and historical problems and generally hard-to-swallow passages.

But A: I don't have enough faith to be an atheist and B: belief in God makes me happy. You can smirk at that but I really don't understand why atheists are atheists.

  • @RyanTheChristian If you can't stand the church, then why is your name RyantheCHRISTIAN?

    But that aside:

A: You don't need faith, or to be able to believe without proof, to be atheist. Atheists, most of them, prefer to have evidence for their beliefs.

B: I can list a whole bunch of reasons why other people are atheists, but my reason is, I believe believing in a supernatural entity slows or halts progress. If we accept anything as supernatural, then we'll never truly understand it

  • @Tommy9834 Good questions. I'm RyantheChristian because I follow Jesus and his teaching. You can't go wrong with "love God and love one another".

A: Atheists have faith in one important thing: that they're right. It's nothing to be ashamed of, but you have to understand that you do have faith, because without proof against God (not evidence, but proof) there's nothing else to call it.

B: Supernatural is just a label for something we don't like to think exists in nature. Doesn't mean it doesn't.

  • @RyanTheChristian To have faith is to believe without evidence. By that definition, no, atheists do not have faith. Notice I said "evidence" not proof. If there is anything, even by the slightest hint, then it is not faith. Religion is based on faith, not non-religion.

Supernatural is something that is beyond our understanding, and will forever be beyond. There are things in science that we just don't know YET, but if we just label them supernatural, those unknowns will remain unknown.

  • @Tommy9834 Loving your made-up definitions. Supernatural does not mean something we'll never understand. For one, atheists believe that they DO understand the supernatural (they believe it doesn't exist, other than in the brain, and only due to chemical reactions).

And what an assumption that at the end of all scientific endeavour, nothing will be found but rocks and slime.

And you want me to change my worldview for that?

    Well fuck you.

  • @RyanTheChristian Did you not know that the Bible is the only book in the world that actually talks and tells you actly how this Earth was created?! The BIBLE is the only book to tell you how we came and about our ancestors!! I dare you to grab the Bible and read it your self. The whole Bilble! Every word!!! The Bible will shock you!!! God Bless and I pray that God opens your eyes to see the truth that you have been searching all your life!

  • @ppcjjdm Did YOU know that the Bible IS NOT the only book to tell you how the Earth was created? Can you even hear yourself? The only book to tell me where I came from? Are you mad?

  • @ppcjjdm i'm actually in the process of reading it... beginning with Revelations. i personally feel that anyone who honestly believes this tripe is in dying need of being thoroughly beheaded.

  • @erotickatana You're a prick then. Who the fuck starts a book at the end?

  • @Tommy9834 That is so true, are minds can never comprehend on there own Gods missteries, only by His guidenss can we surch for truth ( HIM BEING TRUTH) Faith thou is another matter, I aggree. Its so simple yet seems so complecated to the naced eye to discover. Of things that are useualy right infrot of use. Like when you missplace somthing or make a misstake. It takes a second to choose what you think you want and after you discover the truth that you would have not done it (if u only new)Truth.

  • Thanks!

  • I think I just threw up in my mouth...

  • @sloranger88 Swallow. It'll taste better than the bitterness of truth.

  • @mspookie Brainwashed into loving my fellow man (including you gay folk, so you should really be more gracious)? I don't think so.

You need brain washing. Your mind is obviously filthy for you to come on here and tell me there's no God when I'm suffering. You need your heart and your brain washing with the soap powder of Jesus Christ and the stain removal of the Holy Bible.

In the mean time - and please don't take this as an insult - I will pray for you.

    God bless you, my friend.

  • @RyanTheChristian You are all such two-faced hypocritical snakes. LOlz! Slither back under your rock, slimeball.

  • @mspookie Excuse me, nutjob, YOU CAME HERE and left me an offensive message. You are the one who came from under a rock. I left a message seven months ago and you replied to it now JUST TO BE NASTY.

Get lost. Go pray to the God of atheism. The God who makes you this delightful.

    Prick.

  • @RyanTheChristian God of atheism? You are actually twice as retarded as I had originally surmised.

  • @RyanTheChristian I will pray for you.

And I will think for you.

  • @RyanTheChristian Ummm. Truth? What evidence or logical reasoning would have me believe any of this is "truth", in the way that modern English speaking people define truth? :S

  • @sloranger88 Search for yourself instead of falling for the atheist indoctrination.

All I'll leave you will is this: atheists are religious. Agnostics are scientists. Don't argue with me, just think about it. There's no proof against God so therefore an outright believe that there's no god is as biased as an outright belief that there is.

Don't argue. Just think about it. I don't want to speak to you again.

  • @RyanTheChristian There's also no proof that there aren't invisible flying dragons in another dimension. So let's accept that as a rationale for believing in them! In fact, let's believe in everything for which there is no proof! Sounds good to me! Woohoo!

  • @mspookie Grow up. Your atheism is of such a basic and amateur level that I will not reply to you again until you have learned to stop bringing idiocy to the discussion.

  • @RyanTheChristian In the absence of conclusive evidence for or against the existance of god, we should assume he does not exist. And trust, the evidence is more supporting for my side than a theistic one. Read a book other than the bible please.

  • Comment removed

  • @sloranger88 And you missed my point entirely. If you are scientific, and in the absence of a single shred of proof against creation, the correct stance to take is "I don't know" ("but I'm gonna find out").

NOT "No, definitely no such thing as God."

    Do you understand?

    Our conversation is now complete.

  • @RyanTheChristian You've now made assumptions about me twice. I never stated whether I was atheist or agnostic and I've also never said "there definitely is no such thing as god." The point is you can't prove Athena doesn't exist, so do you plan to move to Greece and grovel in her temple? I mean, you can't PROVE she doesn't exist, so you must assume she does.

  • @sloranger88 TUT! Drawing be back in...

Listen, Slo, I apologise for making assumptions. I must have been under the influence of this moron down here (spookie).

What you say about Athena is correct, but irrelevant. Not a soul on earth insists Athena is real (well, at least that I'm aware of). Whereas a third of the population of the entire planet has some form of belief in Jesus Christ.

I'm not saying that means anything other than that next to Jesus, Athena is entirely irrelevant.

  • @sloranger88 And yes, I would love to grovel in her temple ;)

You are exhibiting a basic and amateur argument (a variant of the Flying Spaghetti Monster). Athena, Odin, spaghetti monsters and invisible teapots have one thing in common: no one claims they're real.

And if you absolutely insist that those four things are not real, I will argue with you about that as well. I'm not narrow minded. I'm a scientist. More of a scientist that people like Spookie, too. He's an atheist fundamentalist.

  • @RyanTheChristian You're a scientist. You're aware that a third of the population believing something means nothing. The point is not whether people take any or all of these seriously. The point is the evidence for any of their existances is the same: zero. As far as spookie, we seem to agree on the god question but I don't like the nature of the discourse you are having, with the gay accusations and all.

  • @sloranger88 Did I not just say "I'm not saying that means anything other than that next to Jesus, Athena is entirely irrelevant." ??

    Am I mistaken?

And fuck Spookie. Find his first post and you will see that he's not someone you want to associate yourself with.

And you are wrong (and I'm getting so bored of telling atheists this) there IS evidence for Jesus and there IS evidence for creation. Just because it doesn't satisfy you does not mean the evidence doesn't exist.

    One word: prejudice

  • @RyanTheChristian I know! But I'm tired of telling theists that almost every scientist in the world, with very few exceptions, does not except their evidence for creation or for the divinity of Jesus.Coincidentally, neither do I. Not my prejudice, take it up with your peers. Funny that rates of atheism/ agnosticism are SO high in the scientific community compared to the world at large. Probably because they spend their lives examining the world in a deeper way than the rest of us. You tell me.

  • @sloranger88 I don't think that it's scientific to dismiss any evidence. I can understand how the evidence may in no way convince you of creation, but not the unscientific decision to deny the very existence of evidence. From the Christian perspective, the evidence is overwhelming, while the evidence against is unconvincing.

As for the scientists, is it a deeper way of examining or a colder way?

Nothing wrong with that, but they have to be careful to remain impartial, and open to possibilities

  • @RyanTheChristian I'm learning so much in this discussion. I didn't know evidence was subject to perspective. In my perspective the theory of relativity is a falsehood. And gravity too. That's my perspective of the evidence now. And if its so cold, why are you scientist? You seem to already have your mind made up on what is true. Why pursue evidence based truth through science when your perspective tells you what to believe beforehand?

  • @sloranger88 Well of course it is! To you, evolution is evidence against God. To me, it's evidence of God's genius. Perspective is everything!

Of course, if we were talking about *proof* then you'd be correct. But we're not.

I'm a scientist because I use science to find answers. Science is sublime and the only honest way to understand a creator [of the universe]

As for your final point... When was the last time you looked to science to support the view that God exists?

    Thus my point is made.

  • @sloranger88 Theists use science to support their belief in God and atheists use it to support their belief in no God. One side thinks the other is biased and vice versa. Truth of the matter is that I have looked at the issue of God from a neutral perspective (I used to be an atheist fundamentalist like you, then I was born again, now I'm a deist): there isn't a scientific theory which sufficiently "buries" God and there isn't enough evidence of creation to prove he exists.

    The End.

  • @RyanTheChristian I appreciate your attempt to be even handed, I do. And you are right about proof vs. evidence. But upon peer reviewing what evidence theists have brought to the table, most scientist have not bought the god concepts. That's all I'm saying. Furthermore, the god described in above video is not a deistic god. It is plainly theistic. Hence me throwing up in the beginning of our discussion. A deist god is not unreasonable. I don't subscribe but couldn't mock it. The god above is.

  • @sloranger88 All I would say is, is peer review unbiased? I won't suggest it is or it isn't, but I wonder: if a scientist is an atheist, are his findings (even slightly) tainted by his beliefs? What if he is a hard atheist? What if he's the sort of scientist who was forced to worship as a child and now has a dislike (or stronger feelings) for religion? What if he's known or debated with many idiotic creationists and formed the opinion that they are delusional and inferior?

  • @sloranger88 So there's a degree of possible tainting - from none (by the true scientists) to very (like I say, caused by being forced to accept religion as children, or by knowing how blindly many religious people have faith)

I'm certainly not suggesting that all scientists are biased. But something about human nature tells me that I'm probably not entirely wrong, either.

Now facts are facts, I don't dispute that. But is the movement toward atheistic belief truly untainted by beliefs?

  • @sloranger88 As for the nature of the Christian God versus a deistic God, I truly (and this is not to be annoying) cannot see why the two need to be separated in this debate. What I mean by that is that using my brain combined with science, logic an reason, I can translate the deistic god into the (gosh darnit) Christian God! In fact, since I lost my faith in the Bible a year ago or so, that is what I have spent my time doing - finding the scientific god and translating it into God.

  • @sloranger88 I'm aware that I am biased in my motivation - I lost my faith & wanted it back - but I am completely unbiased in my evaluation. Believe me, because I say this with absolute honesty, there is a perfectly reasonable case to be heard on creation, God and even the integrity (and the absolute integrity at that) of the Bible.

I know you are now thinking "no damn way" (I put that down to bias) But if you for a moment open your mind fully, I think you could come up with the case yourself.

  • @RyanTheChristian OK I'm listening. Make your case for the fact that the universewas created by a magical wizard who has a personal relationship with you, can do anything and will bring you to live with him in eternal bliss after you die.

I'm not biased, just understandably sceptical.

  • @metalmaniac2493 It's taken me several years to debunk Christianity, and then debunk the debunking, and so on. It would take me a long time and a lot of effort to present you with my findings and you would not appreciate it.

Therefore, no. You just keep on thinking that you know best and I'll carry on giving as much of myself as I'm prepared to.

If you're really interested, stop using sarcasm to make requests of people. It pisses us off and gets us in trouble with God.

  • @RyanTheChristian I guess you'd rather continue to live in your fantasy than face reality. Fair enough. I'm not being sarastic, a wizard is a very accurate description of "god": a weilder of magical powers.

You keep saying people here are "biased". How? Why would anyone not want to face up to the existance of "god" if he's so wonderful?

  • @metalmaniac2493 It's only a fantasy if it's fantasy and I'm sorry, but atheists who ignore the evidence for creation in favour of exalting the theories which support their world view ain't cutting any mustard with someone who God has revealed himself to. Believe me, my search for the truth has included reading God Delusion (crap) and the Selfish Gene (superb) as well as watching all Dawkins' and Hitchens' lectures on YT.

Flawed arguments aired with arrogance and dismissal... Hmmm. Sorry, no.

  • @metalmaniac2493 God is not a "wielder of magical powers". I know many theists will say otherwise, but God is merely the extremely powerful creator of the universe. He's the First Cause, the spark of the Big Bang, a big fucking alien that we may never fully understand.

You give him stupid labels, not me. I'm a scientist. You may find that hard to believe but I am. (Not a professional one, understand) The truth is at the forefront of my intentions, not "finding the truth that fits my worldview".

  • @RyanTheChristian When people resort to lies you know they've lost the argument.

  • @metalmaniac2493 Which lies are those, then?

  • @RyanTheChristian I guess I should have specified which lie I was talking about, I understand your confusion.

    "I'm a scientist" XD

  • @metalmaniac2493 Everyone seeking the truth is a scientist. And I think I'm more of a scientist than anyone who dismisses evidence like atheists do.

  • HOLY SHIT!!! GOD IS MY DAD! FINALLY! I CAN HAVE A REAL FATHER!!!!!

  • @avd007 Amazingly, AVD007, what you say is true. You can.

  • I would be more convinced if they got Morgan Freeman to voice this.

  • THIS MAKES ME CRY....

  • @TheDepthPrivy It makes me cry "I love you God!"

    What do you cry? ;)

  • @PatchouliNoir

  • @conicchil93,

What about the people who have had no opportunity to choose? Is there some scripture or doctrine which accounts for the fact that most of the humans who have ever lived on this planet went to their graves never hearing so much as a rumor of the Bible or Jesus Christ?

  • @doireallyneed1 Everyone has the knowledge of good and evil, its what we choose that makes us what we become.

  • @conicchil93,

If God has a master plan for each and every person on the earth then was His plan for these Billions and billions of people to live outside of His Love and to burn in hell for eternity?

  • @conicchil93,

What I'm getting at is why are there not any Chinese gospels or Inuit or Peruvian etc.

How many billions of people in the non-western world have lived and died without ever hearing the Good News. They have lived outside of The Law and the Covenant but not because they rejected Christ - because they did not have the opportunity to choose.

    Cont'd - - -

  • @conicchil93,

You wrote that the Bible was written on three continents which is, of course, technically correct. Yet the geographical area is extremely small from a global perspective. Even now after all these centuries the word has spread, but not really all that far. about 1/3 of all people identify as Christian but that includes RC's, CoE and Liberal Evangelicals all of which I don't think you would count (please correct me if I'm wrong).

    Cont'd - - -

  • proof of God is everywhere...non believers are bothered SO MUCH by people believing in Him and His existance, why? they don't believe that this being, who claims to be the creator of everything and is the very expression of love, can be real...maybe it sounds too good to be true??the subject is deeply pressed into the mind even though people don't want to believe...so they think of it over and over again..sounds to me like God is pursuing them ^_^ yup putting pressure on you,so you will know Him

  • My child.....I know everything about you. I know that the hairs on your head are numbered. I know that you will be born into sin through no fault of your own. I know that you will continue to sin and burn in eternal hell fire. I know that I could change all of this but I don't......because I am a self centered, murdering, genocidal, deceitful, flaccid and imaginary being. I am here for the sheep to blindly follow..... watch.....they won't even care about all the evil that I have done. Love God.

  • Beautiful words, beautiful idea, I just hate seeing these ugly kids being indulged.

  • He sounds like a conciete douchebag if you ask me. Very Vey Very Conceite.....
