  • Those track officals must be half insane standing so close to those cars when they launch.

  • glad you liked it. Now heading off for another weekend, at the Hot Rod Drags! Cheers

  • Hi johnschaser! Thankfully, someone called CorvetteZD did film it. Type in, "Final Round at 2011 Santa Pod Euro Finals.mpg" Best Top Fuel Pedal Fest ever plus great 5.8 TopFuel bike run. Enjoy! Cheers!

  • @1966gamesmaster Thank you! That was a pretty good pedal fest!

  • "ive never seen a fuel car peddled so much in one round before" forget about john force?

  • finally, this pedal fest may have just been knocked into second best spot by the Final of Top Fuel Dragster at the European Finals at Santa Pod in the UK, yesterday. It was awesome! I'm just hoping someone caught it and posts it on youtube so we can see it again!

  • @1966gamesmaster Thanks! Can't wait to see it!

  • @1966gamesmaster When you get the link post it on here!

  • I should have been to some top fuel drag racing the last weekend in Juli , but they were afraid off that the dragsters would flew off the track

  • Not the best at all, the best one ever was the 1996 autolight nats. a wheel stand and a chernobyl battle it out in the final.

  • he should've at least thrown out the crank or the rod after that many hits. i'll bet that engine is fucked

  • i really don't understand this video =\

  • Wow....you just don't see that happen the way Doug did it. Like Johnny Rocca said...usually when a driver pedals like that the engine doesn't last....good stuff!

  • WTF is pedaling?

  • @elmexicandehoustone it's when they over power the track, the car loses traction, and they let off the gas and then hit it again trying to regain traction.

  • @Wambonater Oh nice, thanks for letting me know, I appreciate that!

  • wow! i bet the people on the white dragster side of the track felt THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP in the chest! lol

  • ihra sucks.

  • lmao omfg if you have ever been to an event such as this, and had a top fuelie do this while you sitting in the stands, everytime they hit the fuel, its like someone kicking you in the chest when its over all you can do is sit there and gasp for air and wonder wtf just happened to ya. its uh well awesome!

  • @zeppelin67637 I remember they were shaking the grand stands so hard with every hit, the tire smoke was so thick, from the starting line you couldn' see what was going on or who was ahead. Then Doug Foley's winlight came on and everyone was cheering!

  • @zeppelin67637 yeah, but its an awesome feeling though!:D

  • @zeppelin67637 its not awesome...ITS FUCKING AWESOME!! :))

  • @CARFRL35 I stand corrected!

  • He hit the throttle way too many times. It looked like it would have hooked up if he just he hit it one more time.

  • I believe the main reason why it would be hard to keep the engine from blowing up is because they inject so much fuel into the cylinders that they run on the verge of Hydro-lock (when there is more fuel than there is volume in the cylinder) If the fuel isn't burnt and expelled quickly, it will build up in the cylinders until there is Hydro-lock. So the piston would begin its upstroke compressing the fuel & air until it cant compress anymore. Something has to give, and its usually the engine.

  • the clutch on those are designed to slip, when they lock up, they spin the tires.......

  • In 2012, Mitt Romney Will Be ElecteD PresiDent of THee U. S. A.........

  • @FireYourJOB ummm dude seriously how is that comment relevant to this video?

  • WOW! i can not beleive that engine did not blow to shit. he was just burping that thing.

  • what did the commentator mean when he said the motor must have zero progression?

  • "zero compression" as in pressure inside the cylinder and blower boost. They usually run so much that its hard to keep the engine together for a 4 1/2 second run.

  • @proactionsuzuki Well, the balance between compression ratio (google it) and blower boost (that one too) is a son of a bitch. See, higher compression and low boost can result in a back fire when you peddle the car. Usually on a top fuel car, if you get out of the throttle, and back in it, it goes kaboom, big time. This one strangley didn't, and low compression with a fuck ton of blower over drive could explain that.

  • i understand why the guy on the left did but why the guy on the right?

  • they both spun their tires off the line

  • he could feel the tire shake if you pay attention to it he does start to strike the tires

  • Its crazy Doug pedaled no fewer than 12 times by my count and the engine lived to fight another day! Amazing! Unheard of in the NHRA....1 pedal if you are lucky and the engine goes kaboom!

  • Nice Post dude! One for the record books.

  • I was saying best Top Fuel Dragster Pedal Fest Ever. Not Funny Car, there have been some great ones, just not as many in the dragsters.

  • Any The 92 Force Pedregon race was so much better than this, but this is pretty good too

  • the best i have ever seen!!! top!!!

  • dude i was standing at 1000ft

  • scelzi v amato pomona 97 winters... is better then this.

    but still, nice post!

  • As you wish, POSTED. Is it better than this? You decide!

  • very similar between the two. Rookies winning the event vs. the all time class win leader IHRA & NHRA.

  • With everyone in the place on their feet to see this final round in October, since the race was rain delayed in August, the sound of these cars being pedaled so many times was unbelievable. It was the most exciting round of Top Fuel I have ever watched. Especially since everyone expected Clay Millican to win the race and set low E.T. The air temp was in the 50's or 60's and the track temp was about 65 degrees! I know I had a winter jacket on!
