I seriously cannot understand how ANYONE can watch a movie with PAL speed-up. It's so distracting I can't see or hear anything else.

@erikals2 Europe uses a system called PAL for video. The US uses NTSC. There are pros and cons to both (PAL has a higher resolution, for example, and NTSC has a screen juddering issue on older televisions), but PAL speeds up audio and video by 4% which makes people move slightly too fast and makes audio pitch too high (most notable in scenes like this one that feature music). Compare the music in this scene to the actual video for Belle Stars' "Iko Iko" and you'll hear the difference.

I brought out my "Rain Man" CD soundtrack today, and listened to it in the car. I bought it nearly 20 years ago after seeing this movie in theaters.  I wanted the CD for the sole reason to have "Iko Iko." I was only 11 or 12 then, and it was one of my first CDs. Heh, nowadays you'd just come on youtube and listen to it.
