haha I remember having a lot of fun with this game when I was like 4 years old :D great game, too bad they never made a new one for the wii, it would've been kickass.
@TheCubasy Why WII? I mean, motion control is a cool concept, but it almost never works, due to various reasons... and if WII prove something, is that a game on such a console has to be designed from a ground up on motion controller and that includes - mechanics, level design, AI, HUD and probably much more. Look at Crysis 2 - there is a serious reason, why Crytek made it a multiplatform game and why Mojang is working on Minecraft on X360, just like CD Projekt RED on Witcher 2 on X360...
@tntlink All 3 Rogue Squadron games have been on Nintendo consoles, so why wouldn't they put the next one on the Wii? I wouldn't be against them making a Rogue Squadron for the PS3 or Xbox 360, but I think Rogue Squadron still belongs with Nintendo.
And I couldn't imagine Rogue Squadron with motion controls, it would probably be a big disaster.
@TheCubasy I say.. so what? Battlefield 1942 was a PC game, Battlefield Vietnam was a PC game, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142 - these were all PC games... and what did they do after that? They released Bad Company for X360 and PS3, completely ignoring PC. Why? Because as a developer, that is under the publisher you focus on platform where you can sell the most copies - which unfortunately is X360 and PS3. The truth is - you're not going to sell enough copies on WII... not matter what.
@tntlink Haha yeah, nobody really pays attention to the Wii anymore. I'm not saying it's a good idea to make a game for a pretty much dead system (i.e. Wii,) but I think it would be cool to see a new Rogue Squadron on a Nintendo console. We haven't seen a new one in 8 years, so I wouldn't really care about what system it should be on if another came out.
@TheCubasy Heh... maybe on WiiU... if Nintendo plays it right and that means, they have to release it as fast as possible, like in Q1 of 2012 - Sony and Microsoft are already working on a new consoles and WiiU even though seems to be more powerful than X360 and PS3, won't stand a chance against the next generation of consoles... also - LucasArts is not as great as it used to be... their latest games were mostly mediocre if not bad.
@TheCubasy ...so it's not even worth a try. People won't like it, but why should a publisher like LucasArts care? What's important for them, is to make as much money, by the lowest production cost. People play COD nowadays - you can argue that it sucks, but it's COD that sells over 16mln copies... it's easy to develop, doesn't need any experimentation and financial risk and people (even with all the bad opinion) will still buy over 10mln copies of such crap.
@tntlink Probably by nowadays most people would think that the gameplay of Rogue Squadron is mindless, bland, and/or boring compared to lots of other Star Wars games out there... I can't really name any because I haven't played any new ones, but the Star Wars: Battlefront series comes to mind. Really Star Wars: Rogue Squadron is just a generic arcade-style flying shooter, but addicting as hell.
@TheCubasy I couldn't agree more. I have this game for PC and it is SO FUN TO PLAY with a joystick. I luv da gaem. My ROFLcopter goes soi soi soi soi soi soi soi soi soi soi soi.......................................
In case you've forgotten, the Jedi order was defunct. The rebels were the bad guys, and come to think of it, the Rebels had a lot of blood shed because of their resistance.

I have always liked the way your teammates die, they just float to the ground in a peaceful manner whereas any imperial fighter would explode =)

Why the hell does that one wingman ALWAYS get shot down whenever ANYBODY is playing this mission? They're freaking Probe Droids!

This is one beautiful game...it could pass as a first generation PS2 game, or possibly even later.

Who gets shot down by a probe droid? Seriously, they're pretty much the weakest of the enemies in this game besides stormtroopers.
