Actually my trainer makes me work out the patterns to showmanship, equitation, horsemanship and reining, her theory is if you can work like the horse then you will have a better understanding of the pattern, threfore you should be able to communicate better to your horse to complete the pattern

I dont remember what I wrote and the comment was already deleted but I am the last person who would not criticize anyone for rollkur. when I have been to california I was shocked to see that (diff. than in GER) girls who cannot even sit the trot ride double bridled 4th levels getting at least a 6,0! but I think this vid. is funny since we played horses like that when we were little ;) and come on it is just humor when the horse is "watching" the people -its funny!

You obviously don't know anything about dressage. And congratulations on flat out insulting an entire way of life without reason.

Perhaps you've never seen SOFT, FEELING, and CORRECT riders that are given much less credit than the poor representives of the sport (like our two "record setting" horse abusers).

anyway, this video is quite funny, I remember when we would run barrels on foot. It seems, from your username, you think everything is abuse. You have obviously never riden a horse.

Now, there are people that abuse their horses, but when doen right, dressage, and rodeo, are not abuse at all. And not just in the US. every heard of Anky Van Grusven? type in her name, second thing that pops up is Rollkur.

as I have stated before, there are people who do abuse their horses, but when done right, It is fine.

Much like tennessee (i know i spelled that wrong) walkers, or even racking in general. When done correctly it is fine. But when they use soring, it is 100% abuse and animal cruelty. That can be said about pretty much any equestrain sport.
