rage is very unique, it takes bits and peices from many shooters and the graphics look very good in my opinion. now if ur on the xbox they take like half a second to load sometimes but its still very detailed and surprizingly colorful. I especailly like how tight the game controls are. of course i would expect nothing less from id but it is not to be overlooked. Yes the ending was not the best but that doesn't make it not worth playing through.

@SquashBlade game engine is awesome but other then that no big let down. glad i canceled my pre-order and just rented for the weekend. very liner not as open world as they said. to be honest for as big the game was file size (22gb) the world was very small. story was kinda shitty and all the missions are fetch missions. and the side missions were you just going back through the same area backwards and really a 15 hr campaign for a $60 game that i can just beat in a weekend for $7 renting it.

@SquashBlade i agree,i haven't finish it so i don't know if plp dont like it because the ending was disappointing. ,but the gameplay is pretty good. The gun sounds good, and animations are REALLY good, and there are a variety of ways to kill someone. though i do find the texture poping annoying, and having no option to skip dialog, the handling of car when using brake and when turning in one place too quickly, and the map navigating is kinda linear. Overall a good game imo, 8/10 :P

@SquashBlade agree, it's not a bad game at its core, i think people are hating Rage is because they're expecting good graphics that id software promised, the story is too weak for a linear shooter (missions are linear....), and other technical problem (lip sync, sound glitches). These does not make it a bad game, it's just these issues lower the game quality.
