The answer is "probably", but I haven't tried that myself - you'd have to contact an unlocking service and see if they can do it. It's a brand new phone, so it might take a few weeks...

Well it is Quad Band sure, but does AT&T have roaming? Because without it, the quad band doesn't really matter

Of course AT&T has roaming - GSM is a world wide standard. :-) Whether or not international roaming is enabled is a per-account setting.

You generally don't roam inside your own country - or are you saying that AT&T doesn't have nationwide coverage? I'm in Canada so I don't honestly know - but it would sure be strange to me that someone with an AT&T phone wouldn't be able to get signal across the whole USA in major metropolitan areas...

Yeah... :-) I've never used a Pantech phone before, so it was a complete surprise to me that they went with a proprietary connector. It sort of looked like a "flatUSB" connector that HTC used years ago, so that's why I was confused...but hey, that's what you get when you do unscripted real-life videos. :-)
