It's on a mountain bicycle with slick tyres and a steep, long slope! Not so difficult at all! 65-70 km/h measured by digital speedometer. The camera makes it a bit slower in the eye and furthermore, Youtube compression methods spoil it!!! Thank you!
i've got both big bore moto and a road pushie, I'm a frequent track rider and am by no means a straightline squid and some of the blokes on their pushies can keep you honest through the downhill twisties.
They have barely any weight so can flick through slalom corners quickly and efficiently. I haven't been lucky enough to have any overtake me through the twisties but a couple have stayed in my mirrors which is bloody impressive against someone that has almost racer times at the local track...
Have you realized that this downhill is on a BICYCLE??? If my brother had a motorcycle of any type, we wouldn't upload this video... Motorcycle downhill is just not interesting...

I have both a motorcycle and a bicycle, they are both plenty of fun down a hill, the motorbike is a different kind of fun. i think 100 k/hr on a bicycle is just as fun as 280 on a motorcycle... although you do need a long stretch of road for such endeavours! haha
If only a bicycle could reach 100 km/h, even if this track was a huge strech without bends...!! You have to ride on a volcanic slope to get that kind of speeds!
Anyway, on a nearby, steeper but shorter slope, we could momentarily see 96 km/h, just for a bunch of seconds!!! THAT was awesome indeed!!
With the right roads and the right bicycle you can nail some epic speeds down a hill. The bikes you guys are riding have quite thick tyres. If you were riding a road bike with very thin slick tyres you could go significantly faster.
Of course! And that's why it's so "extreme" to do 70 km/h and above with bikes like these! On a straight, level road, the maximum speed on a mountain bike is 54-60km/h, whilst on a road bike is 60-70 km/h or so, depending on the rider... And yes, tyres do make a big difference!
My record is 55 km/h on straight road with good wind(Crowded bicycle road) and 60 km/h downhill but there is no such long downhills here (Gdańsk, Poland)
