"Aja baja" does not mean anything in swedish. It is just a few words, for fun - I guess.. Like in ABBAs " Bang-A-Boomerang". In that song, you can hear them sing "dum-mi, dum-dum-mi, dum-mi, dum-dum" - and they also wrote a song called "Dum Dum Diddle". Both of the examples does not mean anything. That's the same, with this text.
Aggy is just too sweet here! I see you've been here before...sorry I'm just getting around to answering, sometimes it's hard to keep up. Thanks for looking in.
I see, agnetha can handle every key, and every high note. Actually the low too. Perhaps that's why it's sometimes hard to hear agnetha? My favourite of her, and you who can understand what she's singing, don't you think this one is better than Golliwog?
I had to listen close to actually hear AGGY'S undeniable voice! It sounds so different than any of her other stuff. Maybe M. T. had something to do with it? It is certainly a catchy tune though.
Ahhhh, I remember it like it was last summer! Those were the days. Wasn't our Angel a little Aya Baya? (Doesn't it mean naughty, naughty in Swedish, I don't remember?)
No argument from me on the little devil...I mean Angel Jim. :) I think you're right about the Swedish meaning as well. Very appropos. :) Have a great week buddy!
Thanks Elin, I'll put up the English lyrics later after work. I do have the English version video called "Golliwog", give it a listen. It's quite different from this!
I think they got the inspiration for this was from Linsey DePaul's Sugar me from 2 years earlier.

She was a good songwriter too... I wonder why Bjorn and Benny didn't involve her in composing Abba's stuff too.

yeah, it's Golliwog...!
You know it's not the same meaning of the lyrics. The swedish, I think, is more sexy... and funnier :)
