Who in the hell said I was riding in a school? If you can find the word "school" anywhere in my description then you are right that I shouldn't have been riding that fast. But since it was a race and not something for a "school" the speed was appropriate for the situation.

Look... I'd be limping for a few minutes after that. As long as the horse recovered quickly, no harm. It so unusual that the horse did not avoid the collission, they normally react quicker than the rider, was just bad luck! As for Riders they know the risk so while the injurys sound bad, its accepted with the sport. I'm sure you agree with that

Within 3 minutes afterwards neither horse was limping. That relay race is not anymore dangerous than any other equestiran event. If the horses aren't meant to be ridden, then we should just ship them all off to Wyoming so they can all fight over a little bit of dried grass and die from starvation or the effects of global warming. I am the rider on the running horse. It's a relay and I was attempting to hand a bag off when the other horse moved in the way at the last second. We had performed this race over 200 times without incident. It was not intentional. Neither horse was hurt. A vet checked both of them out immediately and said that they had suffered bruises and nothing more. I tore my ACL, broke my collarbone, and had a concussion. The horses did not limp before or within 3 minutes afterwards

Hi. The horse was not 'raving' lame. In fact, both horses were inspected by a vet, and he stated that everything was ok. The riders on both horses were seen by a medical professional and they, too, were fine. The reason the horse is 'galloping full pelt' (as gay as that statement is lollylady), is because they are participating in a race event in a rodeo. The second horse backed up slightly off mark.

Whoever can't see that is a race must be blind. Would someone be galloping around poles in the arena for training? No, so it must be a race of some sort. And the other rider was having trouble controlling his horse.

Who in the hell said I was riding in a school? If you can find the word "school" anywhere in my description then you are right that I shouldn't have been riding that fast. But since it was a race and not something for a "school" the speed was appropriate for the situation.

Look... I'd be limping for a few minutes after that. As long as the horse recovered quickly, no harm. It so unusual that the horse did not avoid the collission, they normally react quicker than the rider, was just bad luck! As for Riders they know the risk so while the injurys sound bad, its accepted with the sport. I'm sure you agree with that

I have to agree with everyone else on this. If that horse had been lame, it would have been quite notice-able.
Just looks like both were having a good time running about and probably couldn't react in time to not hit the other rider

well i dont think that was anyones fault, maybe the horse got a bit excited and to me that 'limp' wasnt 'lameness' that was the horse jumping up and doing a tiny teeney rear/ lifting their front legs up 2 get away from that and it was NOT lame. glad to see people went over to check both riders and horses. that looks like fun though :D xxx

you can see the horse limp twice at the end!!! that is bull crap!! you shouldn't beee doin that kind of shit. with horses in the middle. you don't know what the horse might do. were it might go. it could get in the way. and that day it did. you are dealing with a 1000lb animal with a mind of its own! be responsible

Within 3 minutes afterwards neither horse was limping. That relay race is not anymore dangerous than any other equestiran event. If the horses aren't meant to be ridden, then we should just ship them all off to Wyoming so they can all fight over a little bit of dried grass and die from starvation or the effects of global warming. That's more responsible.

I am the rider on the running horse. It's a relay and I was attempting to hand a bag off when the other horse moved in the way at the last second. We had performed this race over 200 times without incident. It was not intentional. Neither horse was hurt. A vet checked both of them out immediately and said that they had suffered bruises and nothing more. I tore my ACL, broke my collarbone, and had a concussion. The horses did not limp before or within 3 minutes afterwards

I cannot believe anyone finds that funny. one of the horses was raving lame when he got up. Shame. steering would help before someone goes galloping full pelt haring round corners and/or staying out of the way of a galloping horse.

Hi. The horse was not 'raving' lame. In fact, both horses were inspected by a vet, and he stated that everything was ok. The riders on both horses were seen by a medical professional and they, too, were fine. The reason the horse is 'galloping full pelt' (as gay as that statement is lollylady), is because they are participating in a race event in a rodeo. The second horse backed up slightly off mark.
