  • I first heard this by the New Lost City Ramblers in the 60s,they introduced me to this kind of music bless 'em.

I think this is the only variant of this song.

    Great stuff I love it!

  • wow beautiful song! I wonder how old the song goes back? It sounds almost like an english or irish folk reel. Amazing.

  • Very cool! Love the piano sound and the unison playing.

  • They were very good performers. I believe that these recordings came from the Bristol Sessions that made the Carter Family famous. There were some other lesser know music groups that recorded as well, like the Shelor Family. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment. Have a nice day, Brian

  • @BBYMRLCCOTN

thanks for all the dedication to your recordings!

This did come from the Bristol sessions, along with 3 others by them (two under another name). I have Billy Grimes on "The Bristol Sessions" CD and "Big Bend Gal" on an LP collection from way back. i hadn't played either in a while - just great!

  • Love the primitive quality

  • It sounds cool doesn't it?
